  • The most underrated Naija striker, also unlucky. I pray you can be able to show top Italian clubs the stuff you are made of. Fiorentina won’t be a bad idea next season.

Before you CLASSIFY HIM as the MOST OVERRATED, Have you ever THOUGHT whether HE is the MOST OVERRATED??

With all the GOALS HE BANGED for GENK, FEYERNORD and the rest why couldn’t TOP CLUBS like REAL MADRID, MAN CITY, INTER MILLAN NOTICE HIM..

Or YOU want to TELL us that you KNOW TOO MUCH than those SCOUTS or CLUB REPRESENTATIVE and AGENTS…

*Before you CLASSIFY HIM as the MOST UNDERATED*

Some times these clubs want to sure you are no one season wonder before they splash cash on a player… Let desser flood Italy with goals this season and see if top clubs won’t come for him…

    • You said and I quote “why couldn’t TOP CLUBS like REAL MADRID, MAN CITY, INTER MILLAN NOTICE HIM..” This question is also for the likes of Harry Kane,Osimhen, Gakpo, Calvert-Lewin, Tammy Abraham, Scammarca etc because they are also not playing for those clubs you mentioned and don’t tell him they don’t wish to go there.
Even though they are all better on paper than Dessers.

      • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

I only use those ones as reference.. that is why I said like. You don’t expect me to mention all the top but competitive clubs in the world.. there won’t be time for that

NAPOLI is a top club like wise ROMA and mind you TAMMY ABRAHAM was a CHELSEA PLAYER also a top club..

And do you want to compare CREMONESE to TOTTENHAM?

Or compare HARRY KANE to DESSERS?

The HARRY KANE that MAN CITY, MAN U, PSG, MADRID, CHELSEA came for but don’t know why the deal didn’t go through or which?

You want to compare him to your DESSERS that I have never read where even a mid table team came for? He is always going on loan to all this soft league..

        • DiMastta 2 years ago

Was Dessers playing for a top Eredivisie club when he won league top scorer?

Was he playing as top striker for Feyenoord when he won that continental cup’s top scorer award?

Dessers is the most successful Nigerian striker in the last three years considering games to goals ratio, or even attempts on goal.

Now he’s becoming undisputed lead striker for a Serie A side, let’s see how Osimhen will measure up to him in the stats department.

Please name one single Nigerian striker that plays for the clubs you listed? Let me help you since you like to name drop. NONE!

As a footballer, you get what you get. The fact that the likes of the clubs you named didn’t come after him (neither did they come after ANY other Nigerian striker out there), has no bearing on his value to the National team.

OSIMHEN that is PLAYING for NAPOLI get 19 HEAD?

YOU and I KNOW that NAPOLI is also a TOP CLUB in ITALY..

I only use those CLUBS as EXAMPLES to REPRESENT all the TOP CLUBS in the VARIOUS LEAGUES..

      • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

And MIND YOU I have DISSATISFACTION for all NIGERIAN PLAYERS going to a LOW CLUB not just DESEERS.

        And not just STRIKERS..

As long as you are a PLAYER even KEEPER too…

Cos I LOVE them and I want the BEST for them

  • Ololo 2 years ago

I love the competition btw our super eagles strikers,, they are hungry and want to move to better clubs to improve their chances for invitation..

Desser, umar, awoniyi, moffi and oshimen are the best strikers we have at the moment, and since only 4 can be invited I will go for deseer, umar , moffi and oshimen for our next game in September.. Except awonyi starts to score goals in the EPL, I will prefer the others strikers to him… Congrats desser, flood Italy with your goals .. Show them last season wasn’t a fluke

How come Nigeria’s strikers always sink low. This Dessers could have gone to Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus or Lazio. He has signed for Cremonese….. Very poor move.

  • Good move by Cyriel Dessers!
Moving from The Belgian League to Serie A is not a bad move. Cremonese is not a terrible team. The club has been in Serie A in the past.
For Dessers’ sake and for the sake of competition in our national team, I hope his new team stays up. Same for Taiwo Awoniyi.
    Go get them, Cyriel!

  • Omo9ja 2 years ago

Congratulations to you Dessers. Am happy for you. Although, Cremonese is not your place but you need to be playing regularly.

Half is better than nothing. Go and rule the Serie A league first to earn some respect from Nigerians and at the club level.

I know your worth and I believe you can do it Dessers.

Only Osimhen can compete with you at national team.

But some times, everything happens for a reason. Don’t give up Dessers because God is in control. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

Not the best of transfer but we never know God’s plan. Dessers decent personality will eventually work good for him. Cool and positive lad let us keep him in prayers because he deserves better.

  • Mercy 2 years ago

To be quite honest here, this is a bad move. For a player that was the highest goal scorer three seasons ago in Dutch league, the highest goal scorer in the Europa conference league last season, was one of the highest goal scorer in feyenoord just half season.
Menn somebody should be out of job by now. No way, I am sacking the entire management team if this is the best they offer.

    • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

You’re definitely right and he’s also the top scorer so far in the new Belgium season. 3 goals in two matches already… Dessers is too calm and sometimes can’t take strong decisions due to his cool temperament.

  • With all due respect, The Belgian League is a Mickey Mouse league. In Serie A, he will come up against top players week in week out if he plays regularly. And if he performs? He could be signed by an established Serie A club.
And who says Cremonese won’t be in Serie A the following season after this one?
In my considered opinion, it was a risk worth taking.

    • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

Will he get the passes to offset the goals? Does this former div2 team have quality or experienced Seria A players to compliment Dessers? The people worrying knows the answer but time will also give us a better answer and like I said we hope for the best so that you’ll be right and we be wrong for the good of Dessers lol!

      • DiMastta 2 years ago

Simy Nwankwo was in same situation with Crotone two years ago.
From where did he get the ‘passes’ to score 20 Serie A goals?

  • pompei 2 years ago

Italian league no be beans. Kolawole has taken on a big challenge. But he has the quality and the aggression needed to succeed.
At Genk, he had a Nigerian striker contesting his position in Paul Onuachu. Now at Cremonese, he don jam another Nigerian opponent in David Okereke. Unlike at Genk when the coach would not play more than one striker at a time, this time, hopefully we will see both of them play together upfront.
Kolawole, goals and assists yafun yafun is our wish for you!

Every player’s career path is different. That doesn’t mean they won’t get fulfilled. Playing in Italy will give him the needed leverage and visibility. Its far better than staying in Belgium. Irrespective of what happens, he’s going to play against the likes of Juve, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma an the likes. If God blesses his season, any of these big teams can come for him and from there, anything can happen. Umar Sadiq is an example. It’s better to play in Spanish 2nd Division, than stay in Partizan Belgrade. Look at the number of big teams jostling for his signature now. We should just encourage him and pray for him. This isn’t a bad move at all.
