Former Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has completed a free transfer to Hungarian champions Győri ETO FC.
The experienced centre-back has signed a one-year contract with Efraín Juárez’s side after leaving Cypriot outfit Aris Limassol.
Balogun featured in 22 matches for Aris Limassol last season, registering two goals and one assist.
The 38-year-old began his professional career in Germany, where he represented clubs including Hannover, Werder Bremen and Mainz.
He also enjoyed a spell in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion, and had two successful stints with Scottish giants Rangers.
During his time at Rangers, Balogun won the Scottish Premiership title once, as well as one Scottish Cup and one Scottish League Cup.

Balogun Thrilled With Move
The defender expressed his delight at completing the move.
“I am very happy to be a player of ETO FC, as this is an extremely exciting project,” Balogun told the club’s official website.
“I think the team has already shown what it is capable of in the first few matches, but now it is important to define and maintain the appropriate standard so that we can continue to build on the successes of last season.
“I look forward to joining the team and contributing my experience and strengths on and off the field.”
Győri ETO FC won the Hungarian title for the fifth time last season.
They are best known for reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup 1964-65.
