Dubois ‘The Future Of Heavyweight Boxing’ – Warren

Promoter Frank Warren says Daniel Dubois is “the future of heavyweight boxing” after his victory over Nathan Gorman.

The 21-year-old now boasts a 12-0 record and subsequently clinched the British heavyweight title after a dominant display at the O2 Arena.

He put Gorman, who is the cousin of Tyson Fury, on the canvass in round three before eventually forcing a stoppage in the fifth when landing a powerful right to the temple.

Dubois said: “I was very confident in my power. I felt him fading. “I just need to keep working and every fight is a learning fight for me.”

Dubois is the latest British talent to come out of Warren’s stable and the promoter is certain he will soon be mixing it with the big names.

Warren said: “Daniel was very composed in the fight, and we saw Nathan has no quit in him. These are the two youngest fighters to fight for the British title.

The key for me in this fight was the jab. And Daniel showed that. It was superb. I’ve said it all along, I think Daniel is the future of heavyweight boxing.”
