Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukuweze put up a fine display in Villarreal’s 2-1 away win against Real Sociedad in their LaLiga clash at the Reale Arena on Sunday afternoon, reports Completesports.com.
Willian Jose put the host ahead in the 22nd after he was set up by Cristian Portu.
Chukuweze won the penalty that was converted by Manu Trigueros for Villarreal’s equalising goal two minutes before the hour mark.
Santi Carzola netted the winning goal for the Yellow Submarine in the 72nd minute.

Chukuweze has scored three goals and recorded two assists in 17 league appearances for Villarreal this season.
In another LaLiga game, Ramon Azeez featured for 45 minutes as Granada recorded a 1-0 home win against Mallorca.
Azeez replaced goal scorer Angel Montoro in first half stoppage time.
He has scored two goals in 13 league appearances for Granada.
In France, Victor Osimhen was in action for 13 minutes in Lille’s 3-2 French Cup win against Raon l’tape.
Osimhen took the place of Loic Remy in the 77th minute.

He seems to have taken his feet off the pedal this season, compared to the barnstorming performance he showed the world last season.
He needs to re-invent his game and become less predictable as it appears most teams have studied his style of play and mastered his trademarks…so they come really prepared for him. The trick to remaining relevant season after season is reinventing your game and adding more and more to it season after season.
And this is where the advantage of staying back at Villarreal comes in. They know him, they groomed him, he’s their baby and they will and are ready to give him the time and space to develop. Imagine if he had rushed a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid oran City last summer (as some of these online sychophants were advocating) and then experienced this blip in form this season….he would have long been confined to the dustbin.
2-3 more years of constant football at Villarreal will add the needed value he needs to remain at the top for a long long time to come.
