Eagles Roundup: Collins Scores In Paderborn’s Home Defeat To Bayern; Simon Wins With Nantes

Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins scored his first ever goal for SC Paderborn in their 3-2 home defeat to champions, Bayern Munich on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.

Collins netted Paderborn’s second goal of the encounter six minutes from time.

The leftt-back has played in all of his club’s six home games this season.

Paderborn who are still searching for their first win of the season remain bottom of the log with just one point from six games.

In France, Moses Simon was in action from the start as Nantes edged out their hosts, Olympic Lyon 1-0 courtesy of Fernando Marcal’s 58th minute own goal.

Simon, who is on loan at Nantes from Spanish side, Levante was replaced by Frechman, Kader Bamba in the 71st minute.

Also in France, Samuel Kalu, played for 90 minutes for Girondis Bordeaux who lost 1-0 at home against champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Josh Maja was an unused substitute for Bordeaux in the game.

Brazilian forward Neymar scored the winning goal for PSG 20 minutes from time.

Former Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye’s best efforts couldn’t prevent Aris from going down to a 3-2 home defeat against Larissa.

Ideye was on from start to finish in the encounter. He has scored two goals in five league games for Aris this season.

Ubah, this is not how to address someones mistake we are all humans please be objective in your choice of words,it doesn’t calls for insult.as for Collins kudos hoping to see your club do more to come out from the bottom of the log!

Its not easy playing against bayern’s full attacking football but Jamiu should avoid leaving a lot of space. He did it with Mahrez in the nations cup and gnabry should have scored like 3 of that today. In all kudos to him for that super goal and performance against one of the best clubs in the world.

Ubah, he said Collins scored the second goal of the encounter, read before commenting, not the other way round.

    @ Rowland.
Don’t always be too quick to draw your sword.

The initial report was that Collins scored his side’s 3rd goal of the match. it was only corrected after the error was pointed out by Ubah.

    • Bit still, @Ubah should have been more civil in his approach.

      • Peterside Udah 5 years ago

Ubah and civil do not go hand in hand.

Only clandestines like Dr Drey will support his fellow subversive element.

Gladly Ayphilly had seen the light as he no longer moves in such nefarious circles.

We will banish that Dr Drey to Guantanamo Bay sooner than later.
