Eagles Roundup: Ejuke Bags Brace For Heerenven; Osimhen Caged Again

Nigeria forward Chidera Ejuke bagged a brace as Heerenven defeated Sparta Rotterdam 2-1 in their league clash at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.

Heerenven went behind in the 26th minute with Lars Veldwijk putting the visitors ahead.

Johnny Jansen’s men however rallied back after the break with Ejuke netting in the 73rd and 79th minutes respectively.

The 21-year-old has now scored six goals in 13 league appearances for his club this season.

In France, Victor Osimhen failed to score for the fourth consecutive league game as Monaco were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Metz.

Osimhen was on for the entire duration of the game.

He has now scored seven goals in 13 league games for Lille.

Also in France, Henry Onyekuru was unused substitute in Monaco’s 1-0 home win against Dijon.

Good one CSN. But you guys seem to be ignoring this Cyril Dessers. He scored a hatrick today n has been scoring recently. Surprisingly, albeit sad, he has been begging for SE invitation but SE n NFF have ignored him, preferring to go beg players who prefer to play 10 mins for England or even England u-21. I think it make sense to go for players that wanna play for us n not players we want to play for us.

    • Oga who are congrating someone who dnt know what he is saying, csn journalists are mad

You are right! Cyriel has scored 10 goals in all competitions in 19/20 season. He is second in his league with 8 goals. If performance is the reason for invitation to the SE, the scouts are not doing enough work. He is only behind a PSV player (with 10 goals) in the Eredivisie league goals chart for this season. And he has made his intention to play for Nigeria known a while back.

This is there for the taking. He’s got no chance with Belgium, banging in goal for his team and yet no one in the FA or the coaching sees him. You’ll only begin to see hear lies upon lies once another country calls him or about to call him. No godfather, no super eagles.

@CSN!! Ovie EJARIA and Dessers were on the score sheet today. Report about them. Abi you guys only report about players that pay you?? cuz Nigeria and Corruption this days no be here. Simmy is doing well, you guys aren’t reporting but when one Babatunde scores in Morocco, we’ll hear about him..That’s serious. Ovie EJARIA scored against Luton Town today and was impressive again all through. Abi we should start begging this one too. Since that’s what they all want now

Why NFF you pay much attention on England import, you try other leagues, there are other Nigerians that are equally good, in fact even better than these England imports.

  • Well.it is about havin a team. 1st eleven. Team that will not concede cheap goals all the time. Westhorf built a team and they get better with each passing game to get to the peak. Den bonferee jo took over. And maintained the team.(89 90 91 92 93 94)(96 97 ) den came the ban. 98 99 to 2002.another error .4 coaches culminating into 6 geopolitical assistance ccoahes going to 2002 world cup. na wa o. No wonder 2006 was a mirage. Den came 2010 2014 2018.w cup.no curriculum. So just same same politic. Wat we now have at all levels are teams that concede cheap goals.u 17 20 23 and super eagles.I m sure the ministers of sport don’t know this history. Well HIS101 .Benin and Lesotho will score eagles. And u 23 might fine it difficult to go to Tokyo. All is because of political policy. .

I am begging all CSN forumites and football loving Nigerians to please! please! Go and watch the Highlight of these particular goals scored by Ejuke in this match. Oh.. My Wow! At first I thought I was watching Ronaldo and his leg-overs. Chidera Ejuke is the Real Deal. I’m just in Cloud 9 over that guy at the moment. How can Onuachu be called and this guy is not.. Mehn, It an insult

  • Ololo 8 months ago

I saw the highlight.. The Chidera boy is good and he would surely get his chance.. But he is a winger and we have surplus in his position for now…. What we need new are strikers and attacking midfielders

  • Assuming they release him for the U23 cup, he won’t score these goals.
Let NFF at least contact Dessers now, let him know he’s In our hearts
Apart from Lukaku and Martens, Benteke has lost it, Origi and Batshuayi are bench warmers..
If Dessers continue like this, they will soon come for him..then we will be calling him a bastard..he has waited enough..he’s not getting younger, he’s 25 already.

I watched cyriel on u tube and believe me Belgium will come for him very soon. Technically he is better than all SE strikers. Fortunately, He says he wana play for Nigeria quite unlike Abraham who acted funny. If we lose Cyriel to beguim due to due to NFF negligence i will never support SE again. Cyriel is the missing link in sE attack.
