Eagles Roundup: Iheanacho, Moffi On Target  For Leicester City,  Lorient

Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Leicester City fell to a 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Iheanacho,who was in action for 90 minutes in the game hit target in stoppage time.

The Nigeria international squirmed past Hugo Lloris and in off the near post, to hand his side a slight consolation in the game.

Harry Kane fired Spurs ahead with a header on 22nd minutes.

Kane was afforded the freedom of the Leicester area and stooped to head in Heung-Min Son’s corner unmarked at the near post.

Substitute Dejan Kulusevski a surprise omission from the Spurs starting XI, teed up Son for the second goal on the hour mark.

Son then put the game to bed with a sensational curled finish into the top corner of the Leicester net with 11 minutes remaining as Spurs climbed above Arsenal into fourth position.

Iheanacho has scored four goals in 24 league appearances for Leicester City this season.

Iheanacho’s international teammate Ademola Lookman was an unused substitute in the game.

Leicester City will now concentrate on their UEFA Europa Conference League second leg semi-final clash against Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.

Also in the Premier League, Alex Iwobi was in full action in Everton’s 1-0 win against Chelsea at the Goodison Park.

Brazil forward Richarlison profited from Cezar Azpilicueta’s error to score the winning goal two minutes after the break.

Iwobi has made 23 league appearances for Everton with two goals to his name.

In France, Terem Moffi scored in Lorient’s 2-1 defeat to Reims.

Arber Neneli put Reims ahead on 17 minutes.

Moffi however equalised for Lorient in the 32nd minute.

It was Moffi’s eighth goal in 34 league appearances for the home team

Mall forward El Bilal Toure netted the winning goal for Reims a minute before the hour mark.

The other Nigerian at Lorient Innocent Bonke played for 68 minutes.

The midfielder was replaced by Ibrahima Kone.
