Eagles Roundup: Osimhen On Target In Lille Draw; Dennis Scores As Brugge Thrash Gent

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen was the hero as Lille secured a hard fought 2-2 home draw against Nimes in their French Ligue 1 clash on Sunday afternoon, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen netted the equalising goal for the hosts 11 minutes from time.

The 20-year-old who was cautioned in the 39th minute of the match has now scored seven goals in nine league appearances for Les Dogues this season.

In Belgium, Emmanuel Dennis was one of the acorers as Club Brugge maintained their unbeaten run with a 4-0 home win against KAA Gent.

Dennis, who bagged a brace in Brugge’s 2-2 away draw against Real Madrid in midweek scored the third goal in the game.

He has now scored two goals in seven league appearances this season.

The 21-year-old was replaced by his international teammate, David Okereke in the 69th minute.

Moving to Scotland, Joe Aribo was benched for 90 minutes in Glasgow Rangers’ 5-0 thrashing of Hamilton Academical at the Ibrox Stadium.

Aribo made the matchday squad for the first time since picking up a head injury in Rangers’ League Cup match against Livingston two weeks ago.

Sheyi Ojo, who recently pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria featured for 74 minutes in the game.

In Italy, William Troost-Ekong was involved for the entire duration of the game as Udinese fell to a 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

It was Troost-Ekong’s fifth Series A appearance of the season, and he has been yellow carded once.

So funny, whenever some players who are so full of themselves score in the premiership, this young energetic lad(osimhen) responds accordingly. Super eagles is really blessed and way bigger than anybody. But he needs to work on his temperament, He seems to always approach refs in an aggressive manner whenever some calls don’t go his way and in the process gets needless bookings. Not good at all for a young player like him. Thumbs up to the new giant killer Dennis.
