Super Eagles striker, Peter Olayinka was on the score sheet as Slavia Prague defeated Ballkani 3-2 in Thursday’s Europa Conference League.
The Nigerian international, who was making his second appearance in the competition, netted the second goal in the 34th minute.
Prior before his goal, Ballkani took a shock lead in the 23rd minute through Ermal Krasniqi.
However an own goal from Stivi Frasheri leveled parity for the visitor in the 26th minute before Korenica extended Ballkani’s lead in the 29th minute.
The host netted the winner in the 41st minute through Lukas Masopust thanks to an assist from Olayinka.

This year hasn’t been good for Super Eagles with our strikers and some keys picking up injuries that rule them out of the season I wondered how we could have performed at the big stage with World Cup just few months away. Its a good thing other striker like Olayinka is stepping up to fill the void. But above all I think the team is young with some of the key players not always in the starting Eleven. The coach still has time to build. Missing the World Cup might be a blessing in disguise
The result of the day has to be the 5-1 bashing of Lazio by Midtjylland.
How the heck did that happen?

Victor Boniface seems to be showing what he can do. He was playing in a league where no one notices. But he has made the step up and though he is not in a big league or club, the Europa competition will give him the necessary exposure he needs to be noticed.
Super Eagles handlers need to monitor this guy, he has good attributes for a striker. Big,strong, good pace and skills and he strikes the ball well with both feet and has good passing abilities. Let’s see how it goes.
