Watched Akpom in action today where he scored 2 goals , he had an average performance but am not impressed by his one on one situation which is very poor but he has an excellent position and he his good with his head. Can Akpom play a creative role for us ? Capital No . He is not a fighter player .
I also watched Anterwep vs Barcelona . We need that Yusuf of a guy in Eagles. He is better than all of our midfield in term of work rate . he plays it simple but you hardly beat him and he covers every blade of the field . He finds it easy to displace opponent off the ball. Quite not skillful but a committed player. We need him to complement our boys. I hope the coach will not overlook him because of his little stature . He is the Kante we need to mobilize our midfield.
Also watched Celtic against all odds beating Betis at home . Desser is the best player to complement Osi . That guy is different from other players we have . Him with Osi will be too much to handle but unfortunately we have. A coach that is lazy and doesn’t have direction. He is skillful , compose and can make the best defender look ordinary. He was involved in 2 goals today . At times names don’t play football . desser is a silent killer
Now Respect is reciprocal is seeing what omo9ja have seen for so long. Dessers is a unique striker and very intelligent and deadly in front of goal.
Am I lying ba? You should ask. Respect is reciprocal, and others who know good players when they see one.
None of our strikers can bench Dessers in the Super Eagles. Osimhen is just fortunate that he has been playing for Nigeria before Kolawole.
Someone said here on this platform that Dessers is old and he has nothing to offer. Hmm. Kai, if Dessers doesn’t make the final list for Afcon, then who will rescue Nigeria because all eyes will be on Osimhen while Dessers will be our secret weapon in Ivory Coast. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
U guys should forget all theses desert abi na dessert, they are not super eagles material. We can’t continue to go back and forth with these guys. They are drawing us back. Their se adaptivity rate is very slow and poor. Lets concentrate on these new strikers that we have now and see how we can blend them with OSIMHEN.. afcon is just here but una go dey talk like say afcon now na every 8, 8 years
Really, @monkey Post? Have you watched the highlights of the Rangers and Real Betis? Did you hear what the commentator said about Dessers? Incredible composure from Nigerian Dessers. He dribble past four defenders and including the goalkeeper, making five and you are saying this? Come on man.
Go and watch the goals and assists of Dessers at Rangers so far and compare Kolawole to the rest the Super Eagles strikers.
Dessers is in his own class. Very compose and reliable, his vision and accuracy in front of goal is very rare to see in the Super Eagles.
All I am expecting from coach Paseiro is to include Dessers in is fine squad.
If the gaffer refuses to take Dessers to Afcon, apart from Osimhen, can we rely on Moffi, Boniface, and Umar Sodiq? Did you still remember the last Afcon in Cameroon? Our strikers were letting Nigeria down.
If the coach is smart, his first three strikes should be,
No1 Osimhen
No2 Dessers
No3 Boniface
Dessers has been hitting form lately, just like last season. His confidence is back. Please don’t compare Dessers to other strikers in the Super Eagles. Our goal machine can destroy any opponent with his quick thinking.
I don’t want to go forward because I know Dessers inside out, and if I continue like this, you guys may say my mouth is too sweet when it comes to Dessers conversation. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Desser plays like Kanu and he is the best thing that can support a top striker .Apart from lookman and Iheanacho all other forwards in eagles are GRA GRA players even including Boniface. At the NAtion cup they will face GRA GRA players in plenty from other countries because African is know to be Gragra and less brain. This is where North Africans always have an edge over us.
It’s unfortunate that the kind of coaches we have these days been their search Ishtar on such players but for the team to complete we need a player with vision , composure , and Iheanacho and Desser will give you this and will give you patter change if the going gets tough in a game.
Osi, Boniface, Moffi, Sadiq, Chukwu, Moses, Awoniyi, Akor,Gift Orban, compare those names with
Iheanacho, Desser and lookman. These are players that can make the difference when it gets tight. I know some people will say lookman is not eagles material but i will ask who is eagles best player at the moment if not Lookman , our Almighty Osi just scored his first goal in Champions league few days ago. Lookman is a giant slayer even more than Osi as he has reputation for scoring against big teams in Italy than Osi.
The problem we have is just that the kind of coaches we employ these days are bereft of ideas that can bring the best from these soft players. We won the last nation cup because of fantastic intelligence of Victor Moses.
