Egyptian Club Relegation Forces Omoyele Back To Plateau United

Nogoom FC relegation to the Egyptian second tier league from the premier division has forced Nigerian striker, Tosin Omoyele back to NPFL side, Plateau United, after a six-month stint as loanee, Completesports.com reports.

Nogoom had offered the 21-year-old Omoyele a short term loan deal with a proviso for a permanent deal.

But the club’s eventual drop down to the lower league has prompted the former Osun United striker’s volte-face on the permanent deal clause in the loan deal document.

“Omoyele is back with us. It was a short loan contract, six months to be precise, and it has ended so he is back,” an official of the 2017 NPFL winners told Completesports.com.

Nogoom FC, alongside Dakhleya and Petroject, were relegated to the Egyptian second tier league at the close of the 2018/2019 season.

Omoyele is now one of the 12 players listed by Plateau United to bolster their squad for the 2019/2020 season.

There are also goalkeeper Anozie Awawa, Ikefe Andrew, Buhari Ibrahim, Paul Uche, Emeka Nnaji, Umar Abba, Isa Ndala and Nenrot Silas on the new look Plateau United squad list already submitted to the League Management Company, LMC, for registration ahead the 2019/2020 season.
