England Star Clifford Commits To Quins

England back-row forward Jack Clifford has committed his future to Harlequins by signing a new three-year contract.

The 25-year-old has made 86 appearances since being handed his Quins debut in 2012 and has played a major role in their run through to the quarter-finals of this year’s European Rugby Challenge Cup, as well as their current third-place standing in the Premiership.

Clifford has also made 10 appearances at international level for England and he is currently part of Eddie Jones’ training squad ahead of this year’s Six Nations.

Quins head of rugby Paul Gustard is certainly convinced that Clifford has a big role to play for both club and country and is delighted that his long-term future remains at the Twickenham Stoop.

“He thoroughly deserves all the success that is sure to come his way for club and country,” Gustard said. Clifford himself is also excited by what the future holds as he is convinced Quins are set for a period of sustained success.

“I am delighted to have signed my new contract,” Clifford revealed. “Under Gussy and the excellent team of coaches we have been building a winning environment, based on an uncompromising attitude in all that we do. It is a really exciting time to be here.

“I am so pleased to be a part of what I know will be a successful future at Harlequins. We all want to win trophies.”
