  • It is such a delight to see two Nigerian players Ejaria and Semi Ajayi on the score sheets for respective teams Reading and Rotherdam fc in a match that ended a goal apiece.

While Semi Ajayi played in the defensice midfield role, Ovie Ejaria played advanced midfield role for Reading, the team he joined in January after he abruptly called off his loan spell with Scottish giant Rangers fc.

Relegation bound Rotherdam might need to do alot to stay afloat in the 24 team league where they presently occupy 22nd position.

At an imposing height of 6ft 4″, Ajayi Semilogo has done well for himself scoring his second goal for his team in his d/midfield role, Semi is a great asset aerially to any team he features.

Though known as a central defender, I really would like to watch this youngman play in the defensive midfield to be able to assess his suitability for the role given his big frame: how he is able effectively go down for tackles, marking, blocking, his ball passes and ball distribution, screening the back four.

Ovie Ejaria is another player of Nigeria descent whose midfield displays catch my fancy alot of times; he is such a delight to watch any time and any day.
I have canvassed his introduction to the SE so many times on this platform. His style is akin to SE midfield jewel, Mikel Obi in many ways in the way he glides on the ball, his short quick ball passes, his sublime dibbling skills with attacking drives. To add a goal to all these attributes is adding icing on a cake, what a super talented player.
His soccer skills first caught my eye during his preseason with Liverpool in the summer of 2015, where he shown like a million stars against a highly fancied Chelsea side that paraded Fabregas and co,pulling the strings in the middle and delivering the balls and dovetailing brilliantly with his teammates.

I hope some member of the NFF and SE coaching crew are watching.

You can catch a slice of his skills with a peep on youtube.

  • Taiwo Awoniyi has just handed his team a handsome 3 points with a late solitary strike of the game.

Well done Taiwo, hope Rohr is watching.

    • Yes, Taiwo has now scored 5 goals and 2 assists in the last six games. Also Belgian premiership team of the week three time since he joined RE Mouscron last month.

He has overtaken Osimhen as the striker on form and surely deserves a call up to the SE camp next month

  • pls were is deo now……?
