Success has made one league appearance for Watford this season, while Dele-Bashiru is yet to featured for the side.

At the American Express Community Stadium, Leon Balogun was not listed for action in Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 home draw against West Ham United.

Balogun was also not included in the matchday squad in the Seagulls’ away win at Crystal Palace last weekend.

So Balogun is now a training material at B&H? Iwobi started on the bench today. Let’s hope he will get enough game time in coming games. Success and Bashiru not listed. The situation of these players is far from encouraging.

    • I really feel for Balogun. One of Nigeria’s finest defenders ever, Leon has been relegated to a rarely used backup. And the match rustiness showed in the last Afcon. His situation at B&H is damaging his game fitness and career. Perhaps he shouldn’t have accepted a move to the EPL if the coach couldn’t guarantee him first team football, or he should have forced a move in the just closed transfer window.

Wondering when Iwobi will get a chance to strut his stuff. Under Emery, he enjoyed first team football at Arsenal for most games, so what’s up with Silva & Everton that’s less a powerhouse in EPL? I hope he doesn’t start to suffer same fate as Balogun in B&H. I sense Iwobi never liked or anticipated this move. It came at the 11th hour and he had to make some tough decisions after being presented with options that probably looked like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.
