Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi ended on the losing side as Manchester City came from behind to end Leicester’s nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
The champions looked set to lose more ground in the title race when Jamie Vardy continued his red-hot form with a stunning lofted finish on the breakaway – his 16th goal of the season – midway through the first half.
But City produced the response of champions as former Leicester forward Riyad Mahrez’s deflected strike and an Ilkay Gundogan penalty saw them rally to claim the lead before the break.

The inspired Kevin de Bruyne crossed for Gabriel Jesus as he scored his first Etihad goal since January to put the seal on a fourth consecutive victory for Pep Guardiola’s side as they moved to within a point of second-placed Leicester and 11 behind leaders Liverpool.
Ndidi, who was in action for the entire duration of the game was booked in the 51st minute.
It was Ndidi’s 17th league appearance of the season for the Foxes, albeit he has scored two goals.
His international teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute in the game.

Osimhen has done it again!!!
Iheanacho! Iheanacho!! Iheanacho!!! How many times did I call your name? Get out of Leicester. You are too much than being a bench warmer. Mo matter how much you try, the best you will be in the pecking order is no 3 and this has nothing to do with how good you are. Your position in that team will always be based on sentiment, not on merit. You have no point to prove staying back with this so called fight for a shirt. We your well wishers already know the stuff you’re made of. Politically, the odds are simply against you. When you know when to take a bow, you will live to fight another day. Don’t let some people keep deceiving you anout how much Rohers is developing you. Inasmuch as Brenda might have had some positive contribution to your development, your performance this season has definitely been a lot more about your commitment to be better. Nothing compares to a regular first team action for you at this stage of your career. You ain’t simply Rogers’ favorite person for whatever reason. It is becoming more and more evident. smell the coffee on time please. Do not be deceived. A word is enough for the wise!
