EPL Roundup: Ndidi Features in Leicester Win; Iheanacho, Balogun Absent Again

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi maintained his impressive form for Leicester City who defeated Burnley 2-1 in their Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, reports Completesports.com.

Chris Wood gave Burnley the lead in the 26th minute, while Jamie Vardy equalised for the hosts at the stroke of half time.

Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans netted the winning goal for the home team in the 74th minute.

Ndidi has made nine Premier League appearances for Leicester City this season and has hit the back of the net twice.

His international teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho was not listed for action by Leicester City for the game.

Iheanacho is yet to make a league appearance for the Foxes this term.

At the Villa Park, Leon Balogun was not in the matchday squad as Brighton & Hove Albion suffered a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa.

Balogun, who is yet to feature in the league for Brighton this season has made the matchday squad once since the start of the campaign.

Isaac Success was missing through injury in Watford’s 1-1 away draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Success has featured twice in the league for Watford this season.

At the Stamford Bridge, Marcos Alonso scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute as Chelsea recorded a slim 1-0 home win against Newcastle United.

Bournemouth and Norwich City battled to a 0-0 draw in another game, while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton also shared the spoils 1-1 at the Molineux.

    @olu …let me educate u, yeah . Some of this players are top top professionals that have more than outgrown our local league because of 3 main reason

  • No happy to say it, but Kel has become a training material. Seems he doesn’t have a Plan B. Check out to a less prestigious but competitive league ASAP to save your career. If you play, you don’t score.
