Kano Pillars travel to the Lekan Salami Stadium on Wednesday to face Shooting Stars in a rescheduled NPFL Matchday 3 fixture, with one clear target: a first point away to the Oluyole Warriors since 2017.
The last time Pillars avoided defeat in Ibadan was June 7, 2017 — a 0-0 draw – but since then, it has been misery as Sai Masu Gida have lost their last four trips away to 3SC, conceding six goals and finding the back of the opponent just once.
However, the current Kano Pillars side have been resilient this campaign, unbeaten in six with two wins and four draws and are 7th on the table with 10 points.

As for 3SC, they have played three games at home and have recorded two wins and one draw and occupy the 17th spot on seven points on the log.
For Pillars, ending this nine-year wait for a point would be massive. It would not only lift them into the top five but also prove they can compete away from the Sani Abacha Stadium — something they failed to do last season when they lost nine away games.
