Substitute Ben Nabouhane scored a 93rd minute penalty to put Red Star 2-1 ahead but it was too little too late.

And in the Europa Conference League, Leicester advanced into the quarter-finals despite losing 2-1 to home side Rennes.

Ademola Lookman provided the assist for Leicester equalizer scored by Wesley Fofana.

We hear Ndidi is injured! Hope is not something serious. He was subbed off.
    Life goes on

Owngoalnigeria reported that he coped “Medial legarment on his knees and it takes one to three weeks to heal..

I hope it is not that serious! And I hope he can shake it off and play that match in Kumasi. Eguavoen said that unless he has watched you live and he has had personal conversation with you in the past, he can’t invite you… I don’t why super eagles are suffering what they have in an abundance…

Alhassan Yusuf of Royal-Antwerp of Belgium is a phenomenon…A box-to-box midfielder with a great asset like that of ngolo kante but was not even on the standby list…not to talk Innocent bonke of lorient… Who’s been nicknamed “the destroyer” in lorient’s heart of midfield..

I would be terrible if ndidi can’t make it for the games in Ghana.. I don’t have much confidence in onyeka since he has not been playing regularly in brenford, so a good replacement for ndidi will matter alot.. I will go for bonke, he plays 90 mins in all games for his french club which in a good league..

Pls cerozo invite only the best, this is not a match to use tribal or personal interest. Only the best would help us survive Ghana.. this might be a blessing a disguise for bonke.. there were many players not on standby list for the Afcon that still made the tournament.. don’t go for an onazi because you want to favour him and neglect a player like bonke who is playing week in week out , Nigeria will not forgive you if you fail to qualify and it might affect the selection of another local coach in the future..

Innocent Bonke should be quickly drafted in as a replacement for Ndidi if Ndidi cannot make it for both games, or in the alternative, coach Eguavoen may want to take a gamble on Onazi. However, Brentford’s Frank Onyeka is also available and is quite a good player. He can combine with Peter Etebo in defensive midfield for both world cup playoff games. Ndidi’s injury is a big blow as Ghana tends to play with a strong midfield. Nigeria needs to set up a formation that provides a strong midfield both defensively and offensively. Thanks
