Sevilla right back Jesus Navas says the Palanganas need to be intense to defeat Roma in the UEFA Europa Cup final on May 31 at the Puskas Arena.
Sevilla are seeking a record extending seventh win of the Europa League.
Navas believes that the Sevilla team must be mentally ready for the game with Roma.
“Something unique, special, I’m from Sevilla so I understand the importance. To do something so important would be fantastic,” Paginoreminaste com quoted Navas as saying
“We have to be ourselves, since the coach’s arrival we have worked closely together, united, we have to be intense and we really want to win the title.
“We have to be patient, we need a lot of intensity and the team must be mentally ready.”
Navas has notched one assist in eight Europa Cup appearances this season.
Sevilla have won the Europa Cup on six occasions (2005/06, 2006/07, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2019/20).
Roma are yet to win the Europa Cup but they won the inaugural Europa Conference League last season.
