Europa League: Rangers Ready For Braga Test – Bassey

Calvin Bassey says Rangers will go all out for a win in Thursday’s (today) Europa League quarter-final clash against Braga.

The Scottish Premiership champions lost 2-1 to Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

The defeat all-but ended their hopes of retaining the Premiership title.

Bassey is however confident they can bounce back in Braga and take a step towards the last four.

“Obviously you could see on the pitch that we weren’t happy but, as the boss said, we have got to put it behind us and move forward,” Bassey told a press conference.

“We have got big games coming up and we believe that it is not over until it is over. We have still got a lot to play for and lot to fight for.

“We will put it behind us and we are just focusing on the Braga game and making sure that we don’t dwell on it too much so that it affects our performance against Braga.

“It would mean a lot to put a smile back on their faces. They have been with us through the highs and lows of the season and we just want to give them another high.

“It would be a confidence booster for us as well. I think it is important for us to go out there and give 110 per cent, nothing less, and try and get a result to put a smile back on the faces of our fans.”
