Exclusive: Field Only The Best Against Cameroon – Aikhuomogbe Tells Rohr

Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Andrew Aikhuomogbe believes there is all to play for in Tuesday’s international friendly game between the Super Eagles and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions lost 1-0 to Cameroon at the Wiener Neustädter Stadium thanks to an André-Frank Zambo Anguissa right-footed shot that beat Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.

It was the first time Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr will be losing to Cameroon after maintaining an unbeaten run since he took over as coach in 2016.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game in Austria, Aikhuomogbe told Completesports.ng from his base in Cairo, Egypt, that there is still plenty to play against Cameroon.

He noted that the Super Eagles will be eager to avenge the 1-0 loss by defeating the Indomitable Lions on Tuesday.

“I don’t think Cameroon will be allowed to do the double against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The players will want to prove a point by beating their opponent regardless of the margin.

“Rohr must not relent in fielding the best players for the game because our pride is at stake against Cameroon,” Aikhuomogbe concluded.
