Exclusive: Okoye Will Get His Chance To Prove His Worth At Watford –Rufai

Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Peter Rufai believes Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye will have his time to prove and claim Watford’s number one goalkeeper.

Okoye, who officially joined Watford this season from Sparta Rotterdam, is yet to make his Championship debut for the club.

Hmmm, he dey learn how to keep when he come from Sparta B team to become Sparta no 1 and Eredivisie no 1 in his 1st season in the top flight ehn kwa….?

Or e dey learn how to keep when he practically saved Sparta from relegation from the back last season…?

All still at the age of just 22.

Maybe you can tell us which of our GKs past and present wey don fit the above profile by the age of 22.

I am sorry to disappoint you….but just as maduka rose from being a B team GK to nailing the no 1 spot for Sparta, so he shall warm his way to becoming Watford no 1 in no time.

Even the legendary Rufai has spoken…..”..I am confident he will reclaim the number one spot at Watford because he has the experience and quality to handle the position…”

  • Thank You Rufai, I used to feel sad whenever I see the way repay foreign born players that stick to playing for Nigeria by all means. I remembered his interview back then with Omar sport when the young okoye decleard that Nigeria or Nothing. Now that he’s facing little problem, what this guy deserves is our support. Dessers is going through the same thing, Bassey faced it after his first game for Nigeria If not for his performance for Rangers, same Bassey that rejected England junior team on many occasions to wait for his time for Nigeria. Iwobi faced it, that one is even used to that and I remembered he rejected England for Nigeria too.some quarters are already talking against Plumpther small small, they’ll soon come out fully, Untill we realize that in every game, “You win some, You lose some” in Nigeria before we can make corrections. Hungary disgraced England in Wembley and heaven did not fall. Support your players, most of these players suffer a lot for choosing Nigeria, ask from Aina, Iorfa Jr, Dessers even Mikel, when he chose Olympic ahead of pre-season.
