Exclusive: Your Next Move May Make Or Mar Your Career –Akpoborie Warns Osimhen

Former Nigerian forward, Jonathan Akpoborie has warned Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to carefully analyse his next move before accepting any offers from interested clubs in Europe.

The Napoli forward has garnered media attention following his impressive performance that help his club to secure the scudetto this season.

Again,Osimhen‘s two goals also helped the Super Eagles secure qualification to the 2023 Africa cup of Nation after Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone 3-2 in Monrovia,

These achievements have attracted the attention of European Giants, like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Man United, Chelsea and Atlético Madrid to be battling for his signature.

However, in a chat with Completesports.com. the former Wolfsburg star stated that the Nigerian international’s big decision may either make or mar his football career.

“I have followed the progress of Osimhen closely for both club and country, and I think he has done pretty well for himself.

“Helping Napoli to win the Serie A title is a big achievement considering the fact that his goals played a big role for the club.

“Yes, big clubs are already demanding for his signature but I will advise him to carefully analyse his next move before making a decision. Whatever decision he makes will make or mar his progress as a player.”

  • You have a Point Oga Akpoborie. I firmly Believe Chelsea or Real Madrid for me I am not so sure about United purely because they are putting mixed signals to the media and making Osimhen look like Second choice or Third, second if they don’t get Harry Kane and Third if they don’t get Harry Kane and if they do not get a cheaper option than Kane or Osimhen. Look for me this is a big disrespect for a player like Victor Osimhen he should be first choice for any club chasing after him so if he is third or second for United then pls United go for your kane or Hojllund (Atalanta BC) ( a player that Osimhen outshined last season in Seria A (are you kidding me) ).

Any Club who wants Osimhen He must be thier first choice like Haaland was when Man cIty and Real were battling for his Signature. I hate when it becomes an African player now they will start twisting the narrritive to make the player seem like second choice if they do not get thier intended European target..

Same thing they said when he was about to move to Napoli. Osihmen that I know is a complete baller and no team can bring him down . He shines in every team he plays for since from Under17 days except at Wolsburg who did not give playing time cos he was a kid. So pls allow him to move to any big team that is able to pay the release price of 150m. No team can make Osjhmen better instead Osihmen will any team he plays for better. He will add value to Manu , Baryarn, PSG or any big team he plays for. We need Nigeria players in big teams like Senegal and cameroun, Morroco etc. Pls stop this stupid mentality of always wishing SE players to continue fighting relegation . its has a negative impact on SE

    • @Four Four Two is it the same Man U. That destroy Lukaku, Confined Cavani to bench (Albeit in Twilight), Ibrahimovic (Tpp goal scorer) walked out off. CR7( Twighlight but topn scorer for club in second stint only full season) walked out on Louis Saha failed () Anthony (Eredivisi Best player 2 seasons in a row) is being torn to spreads by the media for poor performance. The same Man U that is sometimes described as rascit. FRANKIE DE JONG ran clear from Man UTD, Kim min Jae Osimhen team mate and fellow Napoli star is looking to steer clear for. No bro not that team..

For me Real Madrid now Benzema is gone. Even if they sign Mbappe Even better. Then you will have A front three of Mbappe, Osimhen, Vini Jr.. now that’s the team Osimhen should go to. Plus Ancelloti a fellow Italian an Italian legendary football coach in Seria A ( Milan, juve and Napoli) is looking to sign the best player from Seria A naturally as Guardiola does in Spain. So yeah its looking like Real Madrid for me.

Osimhen should stay Clear from Man UTD

      • Look I am with you that Osimhen is Star quality and a class above some of those players I mentioned you all know the two that he might not have been better than in thier prime. CR7 and Cavani. Albeit even though Cavani has scored more goals that Osimhen in a single season in Seria A on more than 1 occasions he still wasn’t able to get a Champions medal at Napoli. So Osimhen and Cavani are debatable

But I am just worried that Man U media and English as a whole is brutal.

Osimhen will do excellently at Real Madrid

  • I know too well that Osimhen will shine well at either PSG or Real Madrid as for man u and Chelsea it will depends on the attitude of coach towards him.

Spalleti really help Osihmen to find tune is scoring ability and ensure that the team play to His best.

In Man U, Rashford will not like to pass to him like Insigne the short devil did. Before they start using British quota to bench him.

I surely wish you well Osimhen.

  • Osimhen will make it in any team he plays for because he has all the ingredients needed to succeed in Europe……. strength, Determination,Pace,Skill,Vision, Anticipation, jumping, Energy,……No club can make or Mar osimhen again because he is an established striker of world standard…..I expect osimhen to move to a very top club and more Nigerian young players should follow up and test themselves among the best….. Morocco, Senegal,CIV, Algeria have their players trying themselves among the elites then why do we keep warning our young talents not to dream?……Orban, Boniface, Chukwueze, Alhassan yusuf, Ikwuemesi,Daga, Federick, and any Nigerian talent primed for a summer move should remove fear from their minds and do the unthinkable, don’t be afraid of big clubs… . don’t be afraid of fighting for shirt at big clubs…… don’t be afraid of working hard…….if osimhen can bring Italy to it’s knees then you can also do it…….we must raise the standard of Super Eagles if we want results…..we can not keep living in a fool’s paradise…..haba
