Famous Premier League Football Fans

Following Ben Stokes’ declaration of his support for Tottenham, we take a look at other celebrity fans of the Premier League.

ArsenalBased in the captial it’s no surprise that the Gunners have a long list of high-profile supporters in their ranks.

Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah is the stand-out candidate for the north Londoners. When he isn’t dominating on the track he loves to go and lend his support. Comedian Jack Whitehall is another often spotted in the stands at the Emirates.

Aston Villa
The Villans have returned to the Premier League this season to the delight of a very regal fan. Prince William has professed his love for the club, while former Prime

Minister David Cameron is also known to be a supporter of the Midlands outfit. None come much bigger in the world of film than Tom Hanks, the American actor first revealed he was a fan back in 2008.

Bournemouth
Bournemouth also boast a Hollywood star in the shape of Seth Rogen. Despite some ‘Superbad’ times for Bournemouth over the past decade, they appear to have found stability since winning promotion to the Premier League in 2015.

Brighton
Staying on the south coast Right Here, Right Now… Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim has been known to frequent the Amex Stadium.

Burnley
It appears the Royal family have a thing for Claret and Blue as Prince Charles revealed he was a Burnley supporter in 2012. Cricket star James Anderson was born in the town and will feel right at home in The Cricket Field Stand.

Chelsea
Harry Potter star Emma Watson hopes Frank Lampard can work his magic after taking the reins at Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea have no shortage of A-List celebrities, Will Ferrell is undoubtedly a fan of Anchorman N’Golo Kante, while former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is a season-ticket holder.

Crystal Palace
Stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard is a lifelong follower of the club, while Virgin Airlines owner Sir Richard Branson will hope to see the Eagles fly this season.

Everton
The Toffees are regarded as the underdogs trying to force their way into Europe this season, a position Rocky star and Everton fan Sylvester Stallone knows all too well.

Leicester
The King Power Stadium was rocking to the sound of Kasabian after they shocked the football world by winning the Premier League in 2015-16. The band have followed the club through thick and thin and were heavily involved in the post-season celebrations.

Liverpool
One of the biggest clubs in world football. They have also welcomed some of the biggest names from film, sport and music through the Anfield doors. 007 himself, Daniel Craig, has been spied on the terraces on more than one occasion, while NBA ace Lebron James also deserves a mention.

Manchester City
Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are season-ticket holders at the Etihad and often have their songs belting out over the sound system at full-time. Retired boxer Ricky Hatton is also from the City and proudly sported the City badge on his shorts when stepping into the ring.

Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opted for pace in his ranks this season and Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt wouldn’t look out of place in their forward line. The Jamaican was even invited to train with the squad under former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Newcastle
British TV presenters Ant and Dec are avid followers of their hometown club, while AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson is a regular spectator. Jimmy Nail is another fan and he’ll be hoping the Magpies aren’t waving Auf Wiedersehen to the Premier League in May.

Norwich
Celebrity chef Delia Smith is a joint-owner of the Canaries and will always be remembered for her rallying cry on the field at Carrow Road in February 2005. Norwich were battling relegation and Smith called on the Norwich faithful to get behind the boys, yelling “Let’s be ‘avin’ you!”. However, it didn’t work as they went down 3-2 to Manchester City.

Sheffield United
Game of Thrones star Sean Bean is a local lad and he isn’t alone in offering his support to the Blades. Boxer Kell Brook and Olympian Jessica Ennis-Hill also hail from the Steel City and favour United over Wednesday.

Southampton
Coldplay drummer Will Champion will hope the Saints can go Up & Up this season but he will need Ralph Hasenhuttl to work a Miracle.

Tottenham
Businessman and The Apprentice host Lord Alan Sugar used to be involved in the boardroom but has taken a back seat of the last few years. Fellow Londoner Adele also follows Spurs.

Watford
Sir Elton John is by far the biggest name to be involved with the club, while actress Mila Kunis pledged her allegiance during a live radio broadcast,

West Ham
Former US President Barack Obama has followed the Hammers since taking in a game in east London back in the 1990s. They have plenty of local celebs that are often in attendance too with Russell Brand, Ray Winstone and James Corden all keeping close tabs on their progress.

Wolves
We finish off with Wolves. The Molineux side boast rock Royalty with Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant among their celebrity fans. He was even confirmed as Wolves’ Vice-President in 2009!!!
