A brace from Robert Lewandowski helped Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to a 2-0 win against Junior Ajayi’s Al Ahly, in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan on Monday.
Ajayi did not feature in the encounter as he was an unused substitute for the Egyptian giants.
He was also on the bench when Al Ahly beat Qatari club Al Duhail in their first game of the tournament.
Lewandowski opened scoring in the 17th minute before doubling the lead with four minutes left in the game.
Al Ahly will now face Brazilian club Palmeiras in the third-placed match while Bayern and Mexican club Tigres will do battle in the final.
Both third-placed match and final will be played on Thursday.
