I think Nigeria was just not cutout for this third place playoff psychologically. I had earlier advised that the team just conceded the bronze medal to the Zambians and returned home rather than this embarrassing display which will forever dog them as losers to Zambia. And going forward, I think we need a better coach, preferably, an indigenous exe international female gaffer to assume proceedings. I would not mind either Eucharia Uche or Florence Omagbemi. This white man was a huge disappointment to say the least. All tired legs should be replaced while a number of friendlies to should be played to ensure proper bonding and blending of the fresh legs to be introduced

THEY NEED TO FIRE HIM BEFORE THE UPCOMING FRIENDLIES….sO THAT THE NEW COACH CAN USE THAT. THIS MAN WAS JUST A DISGRACE. PLAYER FOR PLAYER I DON’T THINK ANY TEAM CAN MATCH US. OUR TACTICS FAILED US AND PLAYER SELECTION. CHIKWELU, EBI, AND MAYBE ORDEGA NEED TO PAVE WAY. IF ANYONE WANTS TO ATTACK ME PLEASE JUST GO AND WATCH THE ONGOING WOMENS EURO…. YOU WILL THINK THEY ARE MALE PLAYERS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE THE WORLDCUP IF WE ARE TO HAVE A RESPECTABLE SHOWIMG OR ELSE WE’D JUST BE MAKING THE NUMBERS AGAIN.

I support the sacking of the coach, if you can’t score against Zambia is it against the US or Germany that you will score goals..

The coach doesn’t look confident too, as a coach you do your job and not pay too much attention to the Nigerian media or pick players because one online coach in complete sport told you to drop omomonu..

I still feel sad that we couldn’t score a single goal against a Zambia team ,aside the shot on goal what other chance did they get.. gift Monday really disappointed me last night, no top striker will miss Three clear chances consequently in a single match, players miss chances but not again and again and again, If she tries that at the world cup Nigeria will be severely punished for it.. we should seize the hype on this girl , she still plays in the women Nigerian league and have not seen what football is like in Europe where they play at a higher level..

A new Nigerian coach with some experience will not be bad.. I will recommend mercy Akinde

Why do nigerians like pressing the self destruct button all the time. I was one of the pnes alongside pompei who said onumonu was one of the best striker if not the best in this tournament but nigerians will insult the poor girl for missing few chances or not being a speed demon. Monday gift is an excellent player no doubt in her own right but when people say she is better than onumonu i laff, these are 2 very diffetent players who shouldnt be compared at all, they have different skillsets. People would say chances that onumonu missed gift monday would have scored but soccer doesn’t work like dat. Some are now saying that if onumonu had gotten the chances goft had yesterday she (onumonu) would have scored them but soccer don’t work like dat, she (onumonu) could easily have missed those chances same way monday gift could have easily missed chances that onumonu missed earlier in the competion. We should encourage these girls and let them know they are loved and special, they represented the country vety well in my view considering playing without being paid. I think the most important thing is qualifying for the world cup and i believe the 4 african teams will do well at the worldcup. The SF are a very good team in my view and with the injection of standout players from the flamingoes and falconets (i mean exceptional players) the team will get better. I don’t subcribe to sacking the coach considering the worldcup is next year, lets not do d same mistake we did with GR. Can the coaching improve? Absolutely. But bringing a bew coach at this time won’t guarantee good performance at the worldcup, there is even a bigger chance that the team will be worse with a new coach who will now have to impact his own football philosophy on the team and we know national teams only get these players sparingly (max 2 weeks whenever the girls are off club duty). Lets give the coach the benefit of the doubt, he has seen the team play in an actual competition and he must have kearnt lots of kessons that he has to improve on. I have watched the women’s European championship in England and honestly speaking from what i have seen so far, the teams aren’t special with the exception of spain, england, france, netherland and germany. We are on par with the likes of italy, belgium, norway, denmark, austria and even sweden so i dont see what all the fuss that 9ja will be disgraced at the worldcup. What we need is a little infusion of younger EXCELLENT players especially in the midfield and defence. I totally agree that players like chikwelu and Ebi shouldn’t have participated at this tournament just my personal view. I saw the last wafcon and i had same opinion on chikwelu especially, her pace was off then and for a midfielder u need to be fast and with loads of energy which unfortunately in my view she now lacks. We have Efih, otu, ucheibe, okobi, and ayinde, we dont need chikwelu. Experience can be provided by ayinde and okobi. If we can find a yonger midfielder from the flamingoes or falconet then we should draft dat player, irrespective of her age as long as she is exceptional. I think with few additions this team can surprise alot of people at the worldcup. Good job girls and coaches, me personally are proud of u, pick ur heads up, learn sone viable lessons, learn from your mistakes and move to the next one. Afterall, unlike the men (SE) u will be at the worldcup and afgord nigerians something to cheer for.
