Real Madrid legend Luis Figo has faulted comments made by Manchester City midfielder Rodri that players should embark on strike amid busy match schedule this season.
A number of players, including City defender Manuel Akanji and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, have expressed concern about the additional workload facing elite players in recent days.

Reacting to Rodri’s comment, Figo insisted that it’s logical that there are more and more matches.
“We have to see what the best solution is,” Figo, who was a star for Real Madrid and Portugal, stated.
“But it’s logical that there are more and more matches.
“It’s all like a snowball. The more matches, the bigger the contracts. If there are fewer matches, the contracts will be reduced.”
