Nigeria’s Flamingos secured a 4-2 victory over Ghana’s Black Maidens in their second match at the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup on Friday night.
Akeem Busari’s side took control early, scoring twice in the first half through Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and captain Chidi Harmony.
Nigeria were reduced to 10 players shortly before the hour mark when Elizabeth Adesuyi was shown a red card.

Ghana quickly capitalised on the numerical advantage, with Seidatu Wahab pulling a goal back four minutes later.
However, the Flamingos restored their two-goal advantage after Mary Dunstan pounced on an error in the Ghanaian defence to make it 3-1.
Kaosarat Akanji added Nigeria’s fourth three minutes from full time, before Gloria Ameaa scored Ghana’s second on the stroke of 90 minutes.
Despite finishing the match with 10 players, the Flamingos held on to claim a convincing 4-2 win.
