Flying Eagles Players Get Shirt Numbers ahead 2019 U-20  World Cup

Flying Eagles players have been assigned shirt numbers ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup scheduled to start in Poland next week, reports Completesports.com.

Head coach of the side, Paul Aigbogun on Monday released his final 21-man squad for the biennial competition.

Captain of the team, Ikouwem Udoh who is on the verge of linking up with Isreali club Maccabi Haifa will wear his regular number three shirt, with regulars Valentine Ozornwafor and Igho Ogbu keeping the number six and 12 shirts they wore at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger in February.

Akwa United midfielder Aniekeme Okon will wear the celebrated number 10 shirt, while number one choice goalkeeper Olawale Oremade gets number 16 jersey.

Talented Manchester City starlet Ayotomiwa Dele-Bashiru is assigned number 13 with Perugia midfielder Kingsley Michael getting number 14.

The Flying Eagles will face Red Bull Leipzig in their final pre-World Cup friendly on Friday and will fly out of their training base in Bad Goegging, Germany training camp to Tychy, Poland for the World Cup.

They will play Qatar, the United States of America and Ukraine in that order at the championship in Poland, with their first game against Qatar in Tychy on 24th May.
