The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mohammed Sanusi, has promised that the victorious Flying Eagles at WAFU Zone B Championship will play “quality” friendly matches to get ready for the 2023 U-20 AFCON.
Against expectations, the Nigerian team won the competition staged in Niamey, Niger Republic, earlier this month by defeating the Young Squirrels of Benin Republic 3-1 in the final.

Sanusi stated that the NFF will provide the team with all the necessary support, including keeping the squad together.
