Aliyu Zubairu has been appointed new head coach of Sudanese club Al Ahli Madani on a two-year contract, Completesports.com reports.
Zubairu was recently the head coach of Egyptian second division club Telecom SC.
The 62-year-old takes over from Sudanese coach Farouk Jabra, who left the club following the expiration of his contract.
Zubairu enjoyed an impressive spell with Telecom SC guiding the club to the semi-final of the Egyptian Cup last season.

“Al Ahli Madani is another huge challenge for me. It is a great club with rich history and high ambitions. I am looking forward to working with the players, the management and the fans to achieve our objectives, especially as the team prepare to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup,” he said after his appointment.
Zubairu gained widespread prominence for helping El-Kanemi Warriors win the President Federation Cup in 2024 , and secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
He led the Flying Eagles to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and managed the team during the U-20 World Cup.
Al Ahli Madani will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
