Eintracht Frankfurt prepared for their Europa League clash with Chelsea in the worst way possible by being hammered 6-1 by Bayer Leverkusen.
Both sides are in the running to secure the final Champions League place in the Bundesliga standings, but Bayer moved level on points with their opponents after a convincing 6-1 victory at the BayArena.
Eintracht made four changes from the side that held Chelsea to a draw in their semi-final first-leg on Thursday night.
Goalscorer Luka Jovic and Real Madrid target, dropped out of the starting line-up, so too did Simon Falette, Mijat Gacinovic and Sebastian Rode, as Frankfurt clearly had one eye on the return leg.

All of the goals came in a frantic opening 36 minutes, with Frankfurt helpless as Leverkusen ran riot thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, Julian Brandt, Lucas Alario (2) and Aranguiz.
To make matters worse, Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger turned the ball into his own net ten minutes before the break to complete the scoring.
Filip Kostic had earlier pulled one back for Frankfurt, who now have to pick themselves up an go again for the Chelsea clash.
