Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is confident his side will come out on top when they face Poland in their upcoming international friendly, Completesports.com reports.
Nigeria will take on Poland at the 58,000-capacity Stadion PGE Narodowy on Wednesday.
It will be only the second senior-level meeting between the two countries.
The two nations last met on March 23, 2018, when Nigeria secured a 1-0 victory over hosts Poland in a pre-World Cup friendly at the Stadion Miejski Wroclaw.
Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the second half.
Chelle In Buoyant Mood
Chelle’s men will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six matches when they take on Poland. The Super Eagles have not suffered a defeat since their semi-final clash against hosts Morocco at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they were beaten on penalties.
The 48-year-old believes his side has what it takes to defeat Poland on home soil despite the backing of their passionate supporters.
“Now, we have a team and we are preparing to go out there and win. Winning is the mentality that we are trying to create in the team, in the players. We will go for a win on Wednesday,” Chelle told thenff.com.
