‘Friendly Game Vs Brazil Opportunity To Face World Class Players’ —Tunisia Captain, Khazri

Tunisia captain, Wahbi Khazri, is looking forward to the friendly match between the Carthage Eagles and Brazil, stating it gives the North Africans the chance to come up against world class players going into this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Tunisia take on the Samba boys of Brazil at the Parc des Princes in France on Tuesday, September 27 in a tune up game ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In an interview with BBC, Khazri insists it would be incredible to play Brazil.

“When I heard the news, it was incredible,” Khazri said.

“When we talk about football, we inevitably talk about Brazil because it’s the country of football and it’s the chance to face world class players.

“It will be a great party and also a great challenge to measure ourselves against the best in the world of football. It’s Important to play against big teams before the World Cup, because at the World Cup you meet the best.”

Khazri added: “It also allows us to see what we are missing . We can draw conclusions at the end of the match, see what we are capable of doing well and what we can do better.”

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place between November 20 and December 18.

The Carthage Eagles are the first African or Arab team to win a game at the FIFA World Cup at Argentina ’78 after defeating Mexico 3-1 at the Estadio Gigante de Arroyito on June 2.

Tunisia are in Group D alongside France, Australia and Denmark.
