Genk congratulated Paul Onuachu after he netted in the Super Eagles 3-0 win against Lesotho, in Tuesday’s 2021 AFCON qualifier.
Onuachu scored in back-to-back games in the double-header against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
Just like the game against Benin at the weekend, Onuachu came on in the second half and made it 3-0 off an assist from Henry Onyekuru.
He has now scored three international goals in the colours of the Super Eagles.
And commenting on the performance of Onuachu and his Genk teammates who were involved in the international break, Genk wrote:”Our internationals again delivered a great job. Ex-captain Trossard also scored his first two goals for the Red Devils.
“Ito two goals, Arteaga played 90 minutes for Mexico, Onuachu another goal for Nigeria.”

Paul Onuachu has sealed his rightful place in super eagle now. Everyone is happy for him.
And what are they saying at Napoli? Their man scored and was man-of-the-match. Besides he is coming back to the club in one piece. Genk must be like a family!! Ndidi came from there to Leicester.
Genk seems to be a great club for development of young talents.
They figured out a way to use Onuachu, they gave him what he needs to excel, and he delivered.
It appears that Rohr has tweaked the Nigeria system a bit to suit Onuachu as well. In the last 2 games against Benin and Lesotho, we saw a lot more service into the box (crosses from the wings and passes from midfield), than we saw in the previous 4 games. No surprise that Onuachu took advantage and scored in both games. The boy may not have the silky skills of a Kanu, or the pace of an Amokachi. But in the box, he is one of the best finishers in the world at the moment. Numbers don’t lie.
Now Genk, can you guys also please help us with Dessers?
