The Black Stars of Ghana were knocked out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup following a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay.
Uruguay were also eliminated from the competition on goals scored after South Korea’s victory against Portugal.
It was all to play for heading into the final Group H matches and Uruguay thought they had done enough in the first half as Flamengo midfielder Giorgian De Arrascaeta scored twice in quick succession.

With just minutes to play at the Al Janoub Stadium, Uruguay remained second behind Portugal, but a late South Korea winner from Wolves’ Hee-Chan Hwang against Portugal saw them depose the South Americans on goals scored – netting four to Uruguay’s two.
Ghana themselves could also have reached the knockout rounds with two late goals
Uruguay reached the knockout rounds for the first time since 2010.

Kudos to the Banku Boys for that.
Good news…..hahahahab….now , can u get outta here ????……hahaha….
They are a disgrace to Africa. They shouldn’t be at the world cup at all in the first place. They robbed South Africa by bribing the corrupt referee to award the dubious penalty ever seen in football. Comoros kicked them out of AFCON and over 2 legs, they couldn’t beat the Super Eagles.
That’s not fair bro. The decision by the referee that awarded them the penalty against South Africa was upheld by FIFA remember?
The referee you mentioned is part of the few selected referees from Africa in this world cup. If you describe Ghana as disgrace then how will you describe Nigeria? Even a fake penalty against Ghana could not help you qualify. Nigeria that was trashed by Portugal
O happy day, o happy day.,.., o happy day!!!!!!!! O happy day!..…..when haters lost, when haters lost!!!!! Never to come back again, o happy day!!!!!!! Make i go record this one for studio abeg…..lol….

GHANA would have GONE THROUGH if they hadn’t gone into the WAR with over 12 YEARS of GRUDGES on a particular WARRIOR (SUAREZ) and then with the SOLE AIM of getting a REVENGE from the WAR…
Am SURE all through the MATCH, EMOTIONS from the PAST ENCOUTER keeps FLASHING through their MINDS (especially DEDE), reason HE didn’t SCORE from that PENALTY…
They should have PLAYED URUGUAY like they were PLAYING any other OPPONENT..
*with 12 YEARS of GRUDGES*
Well, at least we can finally hear word… I warned before the final group games that Japan and South Korea are very effective against European teams and should not be ruled out because their organizational play outmatches Europeans. They both proved it by winning against Germany, Spain, and Portugal. While drawing with S. Americans but losing to African teams.
If only African football could imbibe some of their organizational prowess, we’ll be unbeatable. S. Korea played with a 4-3-3 formation but selected 4 midfielders in order to stifle Portugal’s passing and movement midfield Contrast that to Nigeria where two midfielders (Iwobi and Ndidi} were selected to play allowing Portugal an overload in the middle where they are most effective. Japan did similar against Spain another passing and movement side, with a 3-4-3 formation that also had 4 midfielders in addition to a tackling defender assigned to play in midfield.
When you look at the players at this world cup, they are all peers with SE players except for a few countries like Brazil, Argentina, Spain, and England. Our underperformance has no excuse when we have players of similar professional rank/skill or better than the US, S. Korea, Japan, Australia, and Croatia.
Some say the problem is determination and drive, I disagree because it is easy to have drive and determination in a world cup tournament. I say our tactics are outdated and not flexible enough for the modern game.
This dictates our coaching needs, that we need tactical, not motivational coaches and such coaches must beat the cutting-edge of tactical innovation. I was happy about Peseiro’s appointment because I thought that he would inculcate Portuguese passing and movement into our football culture.
So far I’m disappointed as we appear wedded to the same attack from the wings style of play.
Ghana showed their victory over Nigeria was indeed an Accident. They had no business going to the world cup. They juay succeeded in waisting one if Africa’s prestigious slot. They are a total disgrace and disappointment to their fans
.
What a foolish statement from a fart twerka
Ghana is rooted at the bottom, the nyash of a straightforward group. They could not win a single important game and they want to win world cup. Haha… I don’t know what they all smoked. Just look at Morocco beating Belgium, and Cameroon beating Brazil even though they are out. At least, they have a reference point, something to point at. These are the real African patriots. What will Ghana show as their own evidence for participating in the mundial? Maybe, the selfie their coaches forced Son to take with them. paaa. I don’t like wasting time talking about the banku eaters. They just wasted a precious African slot.
What is Nigeria’s greatest achievement in the world cup
