Black Stars of Ghana and West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus has been nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award 2024.
Kudus is among the 11 players announced on Friday by world football governing body, FIFA,nominated for the award.
The former Ajax player was nominated for his strike against Freiburg in the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League on 14 March 2024.
Other African players also in the shortlist are Super Eagles and Southampton striker Paul Onuachu, Algeria’s Yassine Benzia, and Denis Omedi.
Also nominated for the Puskas Award are Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United and Argentina, and Italy and Inter Milan left-back Federico Dimarco.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles duo Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong are in the race for The FIFA Best 11 category and Asisat Oshoala was shortlisted in the FIFA Marta Award.
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024 will take place in January 2025.
