Iheanacho should come in for Osimhen much later he’s a point man and very deadly .We should stop playing him in the midfield where he gets lost easily.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

      You really said that?
You are pre empting a substitution and not even a sure fire one at that – Yes I agree with you that Ihranacho is much better as a striker and is much better as forward as possible but for you be saying he should come on for Osimhen at this stage is showing a bit of tunnel visioning my guy – pls relax first and lets see what develops in the next 15 mins of the 2nd half – If anything it is our defensive shape that we should be looking at and also telling the boys never to switch off even for an instant and for every man to concentrate on their defensive duty – even if we don’t score any more now every man from the striker should now be thinking like a defender – play the rest of this game as if their lives depend on it, playing for they and the whole nation’s pride!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

This Chukweze has started again – That guy is a big let down, someone was telling him off after that stupid waste and he just shrugged his shoulders – If I was the coach, I would take him off immediately after that – the guy offers nothing!

    • I agree with you. He adds nothing to the team in this match. Dribbling without end-result is a waste of time and space in the team. It is important for players to know that when they do not get the needed result, they are replaceable. You see Saka in the English team and you just know he is almost indispensable, because of the quality he brings to the team. Competition in the SE will get players to give their best.

Play is still unconvincing if it wasn’t for the penalty would we have scored….Peseiro needs to invite other attacking options next time and fix that midfield problem.

    • Femi 1 year ago

So remove the penalty now, when did penalty start not been part of soccer? Can we just let this guys be for once? All we need right now is just the 3points and our 9points secure. Thank you.

      • Femi 1 year ago

Ahhhh so you lunatic? I thought we all mature here, where is the insult in my comment? Where did this fool spring out from? Abi u Dey mad nii?

        • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

Your papa dey mad….Animal like you. Idiot talking about remove the penalty now….Agbero oshi

      • Femi 1 year ago

You are more agbero son, get a life, we are 9points and back to the top, deal with that, minus the penalty we would have second with 7points, now you see the diff. With the penalty? Bless up brother, we fighting for the same cause, sure they can play better but I will take the penalty and the expensive 3points for now. One love.

        • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

You’re right I take back all I said….We fighting the same cause..One love bro. Naija matter just dey tire person lol

        • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

Well done and congrats to both!

@Femi and @ Footballfanatic – signs that these two dudes are grown up men not likkle youths…big up your selves!

      • Ndubest 1 year ago

Sack this man now we don’t celebrate mediocre performance. We have collection of good players but we still don’t have a team. He will qualify for nations cup if allowed but that is all. His contract will expire June and next set of qualifiers comes up September we have enough time for a new coach to settle in this man should be sacked on expiration of his contract in June

    • Solo Makinde 1 year ago

Love you @Femi and @Footballfanatic. You are lovely men with maturity. Xxx

  • Ololo 1 year ago

4-4-2 has always shown not to be the best formation ,but pesiro is crazy about it.. we don’t have the men in the middle and GB might exploit thjs weakness..

Iheancho was lost in the previous match , now moffi is lost as well.. they are strikers not midfielders.. we kept blaming iheancho but it wasn’t his fault rather what was wrong was the formation..

Hope we keep thks scoreline this way and get the 3 point

    • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

The midfield needs to be fixed in the long run struggling against teams such as GB doesn’t give one any confidence in this team going forward..

  • Bright Osayi nah baller, gifting Nigeria penalty since 1800. How come he came late to the SE? And which other talent like this one are we still locking out.

I’ve said it over and over again. Chukwueze is talented but his obsessive hunt for glory will limit him. Once he gets a 30% chance at goal, he takes, instead of placing it for his teammate with a 95% chance.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

Honestly they should stop inviting the guy – this is true talk and no bad belle, anyone with half a brain can see that the guy is a disrupting presence and in no way conducive to have a selfish narrow minded thicko like that in the team, it festers bad behaviour and bad habits in the team – Peseioro needs to pull that guy ASAP – No more national team!

  • Sportradio88.0 fm 1 year ago

Just allow the guinea men to come out u wil score 4 goals. But if u kept pushing Dem into their box .dey wil counter u . And score.

  • Greenturf 1 year ago

Pls which website are you seeing the game?Youtube has stopped linking

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

That goalkeeper! Honestly that is the worst worst worst goalkeeper in the whole history of football – there is always panic and danger anytime that basket touches the ball – Why oh why do they keep using this guy?? Is there something going? Is this egunje or is he using jazz?? Ah ah!!!!

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

Why don’t Nigerians appeal for fouls????
Especially when there’s been an infraction in the penalty box – these our players never ever run and ask the ref – they make it easy for the ref to just blow play on – Aribo should have been screaming for a pen just then but he just stayed completely silent!!
Men I really don’t understand any of this mehn!

  • Larry 1 year ago

OMG..Some players have no business in this team. A very good coach will know by now that Chukwueze and Uzoho are not helping this team..

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

Not only that, there was also a very blatant foul from an obvious handball by one of their defenders in the box but nobody saw it – I can understand the opponents pretending not to see it and I can understand the referee missing it but for NO NIGERIAN Player even seeing it let alone appealing for it is SCANDALOUS!”
Nigerians – soo many problems, too many problems! both internally and externally! Chai haba!!

  • resect is reciprocal 1 year ago

Assuming we didn’t have that pk , whatbwould have happened . Off needs to sit down and analyse why eagles have one of the deadliest attack in the whole world but still struggle to score. we need a sound technical director that can help us out.we shouldn’t just employ anyhow coach

  • Jide Dola 1 year ago

This one is not a coach o, the earlier he’s sacked the better

  • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

It’s high time they give other Goalkeepers an opportunity…..Uzoho is too jittery…Dude played in the WC 5 years ago and still acting crazy lol

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

      @Footballfanatic – Honestly bro!

How anyone can say that guy in the way he presents is the best and therefore the number 1 goalkeeper in Nigeria is waaaay beyond me!

I mean even that goalie – I forget his name – the guy who does that crazy celebration on the floor? is soo much better than this guy, it’s not even a joke!

I really do not understand why and how Uzoho is our number 1 – there is definitely an untold story there!

      • Footballfanatic 1 year ago

Definitely a calamity waiting to happen…..I wonder why they never give Osigwe a chance…atleast he plays in a better league. He gave the Israel based guy half of a chance in the friendly match against Algeria and never invited him..

        • Solo Makinde 1 year ago

You are right darling football fanatics. Uzoho is poor.

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 1 year ago

So after all’s been said and done – It turns out that I am right – Oga na master lojo kojo and Khaki no fit be leather!

But we need work mehn! And we need work everywhere – but as for this team, I truly believe that the biggest work needed is someone who can change their mindset’s into winning mentalities – We need any player donning the national colours to be a very socially and societal(y) well adjusted but extremely disagreeable person!

That is the mental make up of a winner, easier said than done but someone who understands this elusive concept can teach it to a class or team or group or whatever and whoever needs it

I would offer, but I don’t work for free plus lol, plus I can guarantee you that many heads will roll and whether these tools are disciplined enough for all that?….I highly doubt it!
    I’m out…

I think we should give the coach some time.. sacking and appointment has not done us good.

The coach loves 4-4-2 but I think he is yet to get the players interpret the formation in the way he wants them to.. Aribo did well when he came in to replace moffi.. and it shows neither iheancho or moffi understand what the coach wants from them.. with time they would.. going further Samuel the right back hsb Been our Best player, I feel for aino when he comes back to the team.. I would love to see aino take the place of sanusi..

Kudos to the team.. I think they need just a draw to qualify for the Afcon and they would get that in June

    • Jide Dola 1 year ago

No, I know why you are saying this bcos we got 1 goal through penalty. Are you waiting for untl the team is disgraced until you are going to realize nothing good is coming out of this coach. How many goals has this team scored in ther last five matches even with his 424/415 formation or you don’t know that’s what the formation changes to.

  • Ndubest 1 year ago

The guy should be sacked he has nothing to offer. We have got a good collection of players and need a good tactician to harness the immense talents and this coach doesn’t have what it takes. He will definitely quality us but what next. We are seeing the high level of play from other teams and some of them we have better players so this man will not take us to the promise land. His contract expires June and the next qualifiers comes up in September we have enough time for the next coach to settle in. My opinion though.

  • Femi 1 year ago

Osayi samuel thank you for coming to this team at this time, that guy na baller, aina need miracle to wrestle that RB position back from him, dude play the rugged African style of soccer, you won’t even believe he was one of our foreign born. Pasero or what’s ur name again, which way, I know you not gonna score the goal urself for the strikers but this tactics of yours is zero men.

  • omo9ja 1 year ago

To God be the glory. Three points in our pocket. Truth must be told. Super Eagles must improve in all areas of the game.

Our opposition was tried. Tactically and technically, the local coach has done well and his team.

Our boys fought very hard today. I think Oga Pasero is the answer to the Super Eagles’ problem.

Chukwueze and Muffi were not impressive in today’s match. Instead of wasting taxpayer money on foreign coaches, NFF should hire the best local coach for the Eagles.

If our local coaches are not good enough, NFF should search for the best African coach that is technically and tactically sound. I am very sure that the money that will spend on our local coaches or an African coach will be lesser than that of the foreign coach.

But again, I don’t think NFF will do the right. They prefer to waste money and do the wrong thing rather doing the right thing.

I must be honest with myself, I have no confidence in Oga Pasero’s ability. Since we don’t like to hear the truth, I wish our Super Eagles the best. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • omo9ja 1 year ago

Correction, I think Oga Pasero is not the answer to the Super Eagles’ problem.

  • Marvelous Sunday 1 year ago

So apart from that penalty, this team could not score an open play goal against guinea in a 2 leg match.

A team having Osimhem, chukweze, lookman, Moses Simon, Ihenacho, terem moffi, etc all firing goals up and down in Europe. This is a big shame. To me Guinea is still winning.

This present coach is a total crap. NFF should get us a coach that will make us forget about ROHR. Because Rohr is 100 times better than this Lebanese in disguise.

    • Gritty 1 year ago

It’s high time the SE coach & NFF started looking for players with special attributes which these present set of players lack.
      For example;

      1. Non of our current wingers can deliver quality crosses for the striker to nod.
Our strikers can’t shoot accurately nor score R2 when they are around the 18yard (see what Saka, Salah, Kvarashelia, Vinicius etc do from the wings).

      2. Our midfielders cannot skillfully sorge forward dribbling their way in or two to beat one’ technique.

Our midfielders (Iwobi, Aribo, Ndidi etc) are predictable because they show everyone where they want to pass the ball and still play it there.

Our midfielders cannot sublimely cross the ball quickly for the attackers (see Modric, Debrune, Fernandez, etc)

Our midfielders can’t shoot the ball accurately when the opportunity beckons (Remember; Sunday Oliseh, Sunday Mba, Debrune, Modric, etc)

Our midfielders can’t play set pieces and creat chances through the middle.

(These are some of the attributes we need to source for in the midfield).

      3. SE current strikers are not too clinical on foot and appear to lack the shooting power and ability (they only get 1 out of 5 shooting accuracy… Check our last few matches). This is where Gift Orban and few others can come in.

      4. We need a better 3. Zaidu is always found wanting on his wing and lack quality crosses.

Our No 2 (Osayi Samuel) is very good and we need a player of his quality in 3.

      5. SE goal keeping is still a suspect.

On a lighter note, pls Chukwueze go and work on your finishing from the 18yard (R2 technique) and train your right foot, this will boost your quality. Even Simon Moses. Their crosses need to be upgraded (Sit down and watch Kvarashelia tapes and learn a few things). Cheers!

      Well done Super Eagles!!!
