Hammers Will Improve – Noble

West Ham skipper Mark Noble is glad to see the back of a disruptive January and says results will come when the side gets settled again.

The Hammers spent most of the transfer window trying hard to keep hold of star striker Marko Arnautovic after the Austrian was linked with a move to China and his brother trying to broker an exit for the 29-year-old.

Instead, the striker put pen to paper on a new deal at the club but Noble says the uncertainty did have an effect on the side and he claims once it’s settled down they will be better.

“It affected us because of results,” he admitted “Only really when you think about January, when you think of players being unsettled, but I am proud of the lads with the two performances we have just put in.

“I will never blame a player. I won’t because they have got families and you have got to understand where they are coming from. “But I think once we got January out the way and we got a settled changing room again, and a settled playing squad, then we have looked a lot better.”
