Havertz Reminds Me Bit Of Myself —Ex-Man United Star

Havertz Reminds Me Bit Of Myself —Ex-Man United Star

Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov has identified Arsenal’s Kai Havertz as who reminds him of himself.

Berbatov was known for his exceptional technique and close control, often drifting in and out of games before producing moments of magic.

And the Bulgarian legend, who scored 46 goals in 102 games for Spurs and 56 in 149 appearances for United, believes he has found his modern-day equivalent – at Arsenal.

“Kai Havertz used to play for Leverkusen, I used to play for Leverkusen,” Berbatov said in an interview with Futbin.com (via Mirror).

“I like him as a player, he has that flair, sometimes floating into the games and that’s why it reminds me a bit of myself. Although I don’t like comparing players from different generations, I like watching him, to be honest.

Havertz scored for the seventh successive home game, equalling Robin van Persie’s feat in 2012, as Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Southampton 3-1 at the weekend.

It keeps Arsenal within a point of leaders Liverpool, who visit the Emirates later this month after the international break. And manager Mikel Arteta warned there is more to come from his German international, who is Arsenal’s top scorer this season.
