Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has heaped plaudits on Joe Aribo after the midfielder maintained his impressive pre-season form with a sublime goal in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Coventry City at the Ibrox Park.
Aribo waltzed through a crowded defence in the 50th minute to put Rangers ahead.
The Nigerian international played a superb one-two with Alfredo Morelos before gliding into the area, but before any of the three Coventry players around him could get a tackle in, he’d finished beautifully into the bottom- left corner.
The 24-year-old also netted a beauty in Rangers’ previous friendly win against Motherwell.

Connor Godson sealed the win with an header in the 67th minute.
A delighted Gerrard also expects to see more from the former Charlton Athletic player.
”Wherever we play Joe he always tries to make things happen,”was quoted by RTE Sport.
“He’s come back in a fantastic place. He’s come back fitter, he’s come back focused and all I ask is that he takes his pre-season performances into the season because if he does, he’s going to be a major help for us.”

Reminds me of Chris Waddle, the one English player loaded with that Brazilian football flair. Aribo will surely go places.
No doubt @GLORY
