Heartland Thankful To Governor Ihedioha For New Bus Gift

NPFL side Heartland are grateful to Imo State governor Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha who presented a brand new Coaster bus to the club as Independence Day gift on Tuesday, Completesports.com reports.

The presentation took place at the Cenotaph Owerri popularly called the Heroes Square on Tuesday amidst jubilation by fans and supporters of the club.

Chairman of Heartland FC, Chief Charles Ezekwem, expressed his immense gratitude to the Governor for the provision of a brand new bus to the Naze Millionaires.

Ezekwem said his gratitude knew no bounds as he declared Ihedioha’s gift a “perfect Independence Day gift,” stressing that His Excellency has once again matched his words with action.

“His Excellency has once again matched his words with action,” Ezekwem said.

“He has continued to demonstrate that he’s truly the number one supporter of Heartland and we can’t thank him enough.”

While handing over the keys of the vehicle to Chief Ezekwem, Governor Ihedioha commended the vigour and passion with which the board of the club has carried out her activities, promising that his government is determined to bring about tangible realities as well as a remarkable shift in the administration of the State.

He recalled with nostalgia how the club was pulled out from the jaws of relegation before he came into office and the deliberate steps of the Charles Ezekwem led board in reforming the Club, with the hiring of a sound tactician, Fidelis Ilechukwu, as well as signing quality players to prosecute the new season.

“Heartland is the pride of all Imolites. We saw how the club was almost dragged into relegation before our timely intervention,” Ihedioha said.

“We want the best for it and I must commend the chairman and board and management for the good work they have done so far.”

The Naze Millionaires boss promised to reciprocate the confidence reposed in him by the number one citizen of the State by working hard with the team to restore the glory days of the Club with a continental ticket as a commensurate gift to the sport loving governor.

ceremony were the members of the Heartland board—-Henry Nwosu (MON) coach David Adiele (MON), Emeka Asor, (board Secretary), Godson Onyemaobi, Levi Njoku ,Chief Allwell Nwakali, Chief Chukwudi Ifeanyi (General Manager), Chief Fan Ndubuoke (Chairman Imo State Sports Commission), the management staff and the Supporters club.
