Former Scotland and Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot has heaped high praise on Super Eagles center-back Emmanuel Fernandez, describing him as a supreme, all-round athlete who has become indispensable to the Ibrox club.
Despite facing occasional scrutiny during a demanding campaign, Fernandez has continued to exhibit the stellar qualities that made him a standout performer since arriving from Peterborough United.

Speaking to the Scotsman, Broadfoot emphasized that retaining the Nigerian international’s services during recent transfer windows was one of the club’s smartest pieces of business.
“I think a big one was keeping big Fernandez, keeping him here. He looks like an unbelievable player,” Broadfoot told the Scotsman.
“I just think he’s an all-round athlete. He’s good on the ball. He’s very good in the air. He’s confident. He can probably do what he wants in the game, to be honest. He is the type of player that people look for.”

Having established himself firmly within the Scottish Premiership and earned international recognition with the Super Eagles, Fernandez continues to draw admiration from veterans of the game who believe his ceiling remains exceptionally high.
