‘He’s An Important Player’ — Rangers Boss Van Bronckhorst Raves About Aribo

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has praised Joe Aribo following the midfielder’s performance in Saturday’s 3-0 home win against Dundee, reports Completesports.com.

Aribo scored the opening goal for Rangers, while his cross was diverted into the net by Ryan Sweney for the second.

The Nigeria international has now scored five goals in 16 league appearances for the Gers this season.

An elated Van Bronckhorst was delighted with Aribo’s performance and showered encomium on him after the game.

“Joe is an important player who has played here for many years and you could see what he brings to the team,” Van Bronckhorst told Rangers TV.

“He scored a goal but his overall performance defensively and offensively was very good. He’s a very dynamic player and I’m happy with his performance.

“We were very controlled which is what you want when you play at home – create a lot of chances and don’t give any chances away.

“We did well. At 3-0 up we were still looking for the fourth goal. That’s the desire we need in games and we also need to show.

“I’m really happy with the performance as it was very good overall and happy with the points again, of course.

“We work hard to get the speed of the passing game up, especially opponents who are defending really well and organised.

“The depth in the squad and balance is really good with different types of players.”

  • YOU GUYS NEED TO GO A WATCH THE ASSIST THAT EJUKE MADE FOR HIS TEAMS ONLY GOAL IN THEIR LAST MATCH, HE JUST WALTZED PAST ABOUT 3 PLAYERS AND DELIVERED A BEAUTIFUL CROSS THAT HIS PLAYER TAPPED IN. IM TELLING YOU EJUKE HAS OUTGROWN THE RUSSIAN LEAGUE. PLUS I DONT SEE ANOTHER PLAYER WINNING PLAYER OF THE MONTH IN THAT CLUB FOR SOME TIME AS LONG AS EJUKE REMAINS THERE (HE HAS WON IT 3 CONSECUTIVE TIMES NOW). HE IS THE MOST DANGEROUS PLAYER WHENEVER HIS TEAM PLAYS. THE GUY IS JUST TOO MUCH ON THE FIELD OF PLAY.
YOU GUYS SHOULD ALSO WATCH ARIBO’S GOAL, IT TOOK A,SLIGHT DEFLECTION ON ITS WAY IN BUT ITS EXECUTION WAS TOP NOTCH. ARIBO IS A TOP PLAYER AND VERY TECHNICAL. WE HAVE BEEN UNDER UTILIZING HIM BY PLAYING HIM ALONG SUDE NDIDI, INSTEAD OF SETTING HIM FREE AS AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER. I HOPE WHOEVER REPLACES ROHR WILL UTILIZE HIM AND EJUKE WELL TO GREAT EFFECT.

Post us a link to save us the stress. Ejuke is a fantastic player. But I do feel we are not playing to his strength yet, just lije Rohr hasn’t really had a working template to employ the services of many other explosive Nigerian wingers and attacking players like Chukwueze, Samuel Kalu and even Simon Moses

I watched the whole game live, and was about giving up on the guy. He wasn’t impressive at first, apart from his goal attempt in the 1st half, his touches were awkward, unintelligent dribbles and passes etc. But the assist was madddd!!!! He lit up in the 2nd half. I think he’s a full game kind of player. With him on the left and Chukwueze on the right, we’d worry any defence.

      • He was impressive both in the first and second half, always ready to receive the ball, using slight feints to beat his markers, running at the opposing defences, he was their top player with exception to their goal keeper who made some point blank saves and kept them in the game. He played well and if there is any aspect of his game that needs improvement it will be his pressing opponents and defending when his team is without the ball. But he may not be that kind of player who likes defending he is more of a sprinter, waiting for the opportunity to run at his opponents, displacing them and creating goal scoring opportunities for himself and his team. He played well in the game. Its no wonder he is rated so highly. I just hope he moves to a bigger league soon. So we can appreciate his skill against the best of the best.

Why is Aribo a lion at Rangers, but a pussy cat with Nigeria?
Courageous and adventurous with Rangers, timid and insipid with Nigeria?
No be the same football? Or is African football so superior to Scottish football?
Even when he is deployed as a DM with Rangers, you still see that industry. The guy still produces. But with Nigeria, how far?
We saw the best of him in his first 2 games for Nigeria, against Ukraine and Brazil. Games played against non-African opposition, on good pitches. But ever since, against African sides, nothing much to show.
If Aribo can produce 50% of what he achieves at Rangers in the Nigeria jersey against African sides, our search for a good AM would have been over a long time ago!

The answer is simple, the coach.

Same thing applies to Onuachu, Moses Simon and Osimhen.

If you notice, Osimhen always stressing himself to get the ball and scored in the national team.

Aribo is a good player but the way Oga Rohr is using our players can’t work.

But since you preferred Oga Rohr to Amunike, Egbo, Manu Garba and the rest, Aribo can not replicates his form at the national team as long as Oga Rohr stays.

The Aribo you are seeing at Rangers is the same Aribo you are seeing at the national team but the only difference is, his coach at his club knows how to use his potentials but when we are talking about Aribo at the national team, go no further, this shows that Oga Rohr is not the answer for the Super Eagles.

Even, at Rangers, the new coach is doing well that if NFF can learn from that, it is not too late to replace Oga Rohr. We have capable replacements for him but NFF won’t put our people there because we know ourselves.

If you want to see Aribo you are watching at Rangers, Amaju and Oga Rohr have to go first then, Aribo will give you and I good football.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer ba @Pompei? Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

        Omo9ja my man, how far?
Is it not the same Rohr that used Aribo to score goals against Ukraine and Brazil? I still recall Aribo using smart footwork to dribble Marquinhos, before slotting the ball into the Brazil net.
In those 2 games, Aribo was so good. Such an offensive threat.
No be Rohr be the coach during those games?
So sorry sir. This answer you gave na OSA STRAIGHT. Your answer has landed in the Lagos Lagoon.
        O ti gbe gba gi.

kilodeeeeeee? Lagos Lagoon. Okay oooo no wahala kę lolz. What happened after those two matches. Shebi Aribo has been doing well at Rangers since then but why are we not seeing the same display from Aribo at the national team after those two matches you have mentioned sir.

I know you can give me F9 because of Oga Rohr lolz but I don’t deserve that kę. A1 is my correct mark o o o. @Oga Pompei, you have to go to Lagos lagoon to find my answer. Ire o. God bless!!!
