Francis Ngannou has dismissed Anthony Joshua’s knockout punch, in Friday night’s fight.
Joshua claimed a second round knockout victory against the former UFC champion at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The London 2012 Olympic gold medal winner dropped Ngannou with a clean right hand.
In the second round he then landed a crushing right hand once again which sent Ngannou to the mat.

Ngannou beat the count only to have Joshua immediately flatten him again to end the fight.
“I didn’t feel the punch because that’s what knockout is about, I don’t fear pain,” he said in his post-fight in a video on Sky Sports Boxing X handle.
He, however, praised Joshua for winning via knockout, a feat which he said Tyson Fury could not achieve.
“He (Joshua) was quite special, he stopped me, he did what Tyson Fury couldn’t do. It wasn’t my day, he was way better than me, so it’s part of the game.”
Meanwhile, Joshua has said he has set his cite on a possible fight with the winner between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury and Usyk are scheduled to clash on 18 May, 2024 in Saudi Arabia.

But he felt down 3 times.
Why is this man saying. A man that needed oxygen mask because of Anthony Joshua’s devastating right hand is now blabbing. Na ego dey worry am. Guys, did you see how he fell and was not moving before the team of medical personnel revived him. Boxing no be UFC.
What is ……
I have now watched the video where Francis made this comment and I apologise for my immediate reaction. He actually credited Joshua the better boxer of the night. I, also, now understand what he might by his statement. The truth is he actually felt nothing, because he did not even know what was happening around him. That punch knocked him out cold.
What I have learnt is to get the true fact always and be slow to react to the sensational headlines.
Of course you werent meant to feel anything.
The moment that fist touched your face we were knocked straight out of consciousness, close to seeing the gates of heaven…You collapsed backwards from your knees.
No way in hell would you have felt anything.
How could you have felt anything? A guy gave you an experience of the afterlife and you’re here claiming you didn’t feel anything? What were you supposed to feel? There’s no feeling when you’re experiencing an out of body experience Francis, don’t be a miserable wretch and give credit where it’s due ogbeni – was it not CPR, Oxygen mask and various doctors that gave you emergency resuscitation and helped you out after AJ folded you in two? Was it not straight to the hospital for “further checks” immediately after the announcements were over and done with? Come on guy – don’t be an imbecile and speak correctly – I used to rate you but after this your mis-yarn (if indeed you did say this) your estimation has fallen beyond reconciliation in my eyes if you actually said this thing – you should be classier than this my youth! mtcheew!
Yo! – but actually having read the whole story – I retract my earlier comment joor o! lool
A lesson to you kids – always read and understand first before jumping up and commenting
Ngannou did’t actually say anything out of the ordinary! _ Francis, pele, my bad, I didn’t take the time to completely read what your comments were- I just read the headlines and reacted – school boy error numero uno! I take it all back, and you are still a classy lion in my sight ore! Peace Francis Ngannou!
