Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has opened up on his near-death injury he had against Inter Milan in a Serie A game.
Recall the ugly incident happened on November 21 2021 in Napoli’s loss to Inter in the Serie A clash.
Osimhen recently revisited the issue while speaking in a pidgin interview on Wazobia FM, detailing the trauma he went after undergoing a surgery to fix the facial injury.
The former Lille man also revealed he had 18 screws in his face, which put him in severe pain.

“That injury I had against Inter Milan was like a near-death injury. I am the only one that felt it, and I can only speak about how I felt because it was my face and body.
“But to be able to stand up without using the stretcher, walk out of the pitch on my own, then I knew that it was something I could handle.
“For me, as I got to the hospital, I told my doctor that I would be out for two weeks maximum.”
“When the scan came out, I fractured many bones, which they had to remove and fix inside again.
“I have like 18 screws under my jaw. I went through a lot. A lot of sleepless nights. I could not sleep, I could not eat with the pain. But at the end of the day, I am a lion, and I know the kind of mentality I have.
“In my mind, I had already scheduled my return following the surgery.”

Osimhen you are truly a lion and you always come back stronger…..They say that no matter how hard the jungle becomes the lion can never eat grass……. Osimhen please if you are leaving Napoli this season or in the future just move to a very big club…….Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich,Man City,Man Utd, Liverpool and the likes…….. People will tell you about game time but ignore them…….You can fight for shirt in any of those teams…..sadio Mane moved from Southampton to Liverpool at 24 years of age which is almost osimhen’s age now ……If mane can make such a move then you can make it too because to me you are better than sadio mane…….You just need to play on a more glamorous platform as sadio mane so that people will notice what you are really made up of….. osimhen you are a fighter and you should not be afraid of any team in Europe again……..
