‘I Will Keep Salah Quiet In Super Eagles Vs Pharaohs’ –Zaidu Sanusi

Super Eagles left-back, Zaidu Sanusi, has promised to do everything possible to keep Egypt’s star man, Mohammed Salah, quiet when they clash in the opening match of AFCON 2021 Group D at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua, on Tuesday, Completesports.com reports.

Zaidu told Completesports.com before the Super Eagles departed Abuja for Garoua that he was not scared of the responsibility of marking out the dangerous Mohammed Salah at AFCON 2021.

“I have played against Salah in his Liverpool colors twice this season in the champions league and I am not afraid to play against him again. Thought we lost both legs of UEFA champions League, but I was able to minimize his forays and reduce his influence in the two defeats,” the FC Porto defender told Completesports.com.

“Having played against him, I am confident that we can keep him quiet and stop the Egyptians’ attack from hurting us. We have a young team and good attack that can score goals, so the Egyptians should fear us too. I believe we can beat them if we get our tactics right,”

Zaidu added: “On if we can win 2021 AFCON, I will say we are among the favorites, but we have to try and qualify from the group first. We want to win and make our own history. It’s not going to be easy, but by the grace of God, we can make it happen.”

The Super Eagles’ clash with the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday will precede the second Group D match of the day – Sudan versus Guinea-Bissau, also billed for the same venue.

I hope they understand how to control their fatigue, don’t go start rushing to score and play all your strenght, control the play for like first 25minutes, let them do the running, then explode, then second half same thing, when you start bombarding them from left to right, they will have no choice.

Good luck to you guys. That is why it is good to have players playing at the top level. You can’t call a player that plays regularly in the champions league and in top European league an inexperienced player just because he is making a debut in the nations cup. We have players who regularly face some of the best players in the world in their respective clubs. That is why it is difficult to have a couple of home based players in the Eagles these days.

Hmm….both you & Ekong couldn’t hold him this Season; my broda, just lower your mic and play your game to the best of your abilities!!!

It’s not really about coming out to the Press to boast; it’s good to be confident, no doubt, but don’t go over the top with it…..the grounds in Garoua will tell the final story by 7pm Tuesday

    • Low mentality is your real name, this guy is just talking about himself i mean his confidence u are there saying what i don’t understand,i really understand the kind of life some of u live.good luck zaidu.

If you’re trying to equate me with some lowlife illiterate, then you should go ask your God (or whatever you believe in) for forgiveness, not to come banter words with me, alright?

Yeah! Zaidu! I believe in your pace and defending abilities. I watch the second leg between you and Salah, you didn’t disappoint me at all in that match..

You dispossessed Salah off the ball 5times at my counting. With your presence in the camp, no qualms! I am really looking forward to the battle between you and Salah comes on Tuesday. Salah is not new to you and you equally not new to Salah.

I pray and hope the tactics will be right on Tuesday…

Guys! The worst result for Nigeria in that match comes Tuesday is a point..e get why!

The way Sanusi plays I see him cutting down Salah in the box and handing the Egyptians a penalty. He has to use brains and not brawn.
