Ighalo ‘ Would Need To Take £200k- A-Week Pay Cut To Join Man United’

Odion Ighalo has reportedly been told that he will have to accept a £200,000-a-week pay cut if he is to join Manchester United on a permanent basis.

The Nigerian striker has made a solid start to life at Old Trafford after arriving in a shock loan move from Shanghai Shenhua in January.

Ighalo has scored four goals in eight matches for United and has hinted that he would be interested in staying at the club beyond the end of the season.

According to the Daily Star, however, United will not match the £300,000 a week Shanghai were paying the 30-year-old before he returned to England three months ago.

The report indicates that Ighalo, who has previously represented Watford in the Premier League, is instead likely to be paid no more than £100,000.

Total nonsense Ighalo is 30 Afcon top scorer where we have Mané, Aubameyang, Salah, Mahrez and a host of stars. Aubameyang is 30 as well but will Manchester pay him 100k weekly….. Odion I know your management will do the best for you. But honestly this European clubs don’t respect at all.

if odion cant get at least 200kpw pounds he should just go back to china..United would be basing the fact, that he was paid around 30 to 40kpw at Watford..

Oga forget that boyhood club talk and secure your future. Go back to China and rake in the money. You are in the twilight of ur career and we all know that 30 is Nigerian age so do the smart thing. 1 bad week or one mistake. The manchester united fans will turn their back on u and brutalize you. English football fans are bipolar bro. Go get that money!

E don happen na,when u de tell them say is a dream come through to play for man united what do u expect?is like women let them know u can’t live without them, then u are in trouble.now man u,think they are doing u a favor.don’t go and make your money in China, stay there.

  • Odion Odion Odion I have called you three times. Go to the ant consider their ways and be wise. I mean go to other retired players consider their advise and be wise. Ifeanyi Udeze summed it up “who you wan impress again at 30, take the money from China”

Odion ,you need to leave when the ovation is loudest. There is tough life after  retirement.  Remember before u were signed, Man U exhausted their options and only landed you to fill space according to Paul Scholes. The same thing is playing out again as they are chasing top stars who are in their prime. So if they land  Haaland from B. Dortmond  or Martinez from Inter, You will go down the pecking order.

The only condition for you to remain in the club could be if they dont buy another striker. Even at that Martial is still ahead of you in the pecking order and with Rashford coming back from injury, you will go further down the pecking order.
Therefore please take the 400k a week wage offered by the Chinese club instead of a pay cut of 300k just to remain in Man U.

It’s painful to note that despite your performance thus far, you’re still rated low in man U. Odion Ighalo, your dream of playing for man u has come to fruition. Therefore, forget about that dream, it is now your past; come to the real world.Go back to China, make good money and move on with your life. This is my humble Opinion. May God bless you.
