Iheanacho: Leicester City Unlucky In Draw Against Spartak Moscow

Kelechi Iheanacho believes Leicester City did enough to beat Spartak Moscow in Thursday’s Europa League encounter at the King Power Stadium, reports Completesports.com.

The Foxes dominated play but had a point to show for their effort with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses put the Russians ahead in the 51st minute.

Ghana midfielder Daniel Amartey however restored parity for Leicester City seven minutes later.

Substitute Jamie Vardy had a penalty saved by Aleksander Sellkhov later in the game.

“Luck was not on our side and hopefully it will be next time. We missed a couple, we need to do more in the offensive side. It didn’t come tonight,”Iheanacho told BT Sport.

” Everyone is down at the moment, we need to now focus on the next games. The Premier League first then look to progress in the Europa League.”‘

I still remember Nacho’s 89th minute penalty against ManCity that won foxes the Community Shield Cup. I dont know why Rogers don’t use Nacho for spot kicks. The moment I saw Vardy going for the kick, I knew he was losing it. Take heart lad.

@Omon Micheal, for the fact that Iheanacho scored a penalty now means he should be taking the kicks? Do you even know how much Roger Brendan values Vardy than any Leicester’s player? What you must know is anyone can miss the spot kick even World best have missed penalties.

Nacho is slow in shooting. He should improve in awareness and shooting very fast. Na one leg man anyway

    • I don’t think so, he is calculative and conscious of when to shot. Nacho whether on national colors or on club assignment is always hungry to deliver though mistakes can sometimes happen. He will do wonders in our next matches, I put my bet on it.

I go with Omon Michael, Iheanacho is more composed than Vardy. He wants to do everything for the team the moment he is introduced while Vardy is more of an opportunity baller. The only snag is that Iheanacho has not hit his potentials yet and luck is playing a bit of it. Wish him well as he overcomes.
