Kelechi Iheanacho has hailed Leicester City’s impressive Premier League away win against Aston Villa on Sunday and expressed happiness with his performance in the game, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria international grabbed a goal and assist on his first start of the campaign as the Foxes thrashed their hosts 4-1 at Villa Park.
Brendan Rodgers’ men extended their winning run to eight games following another superb performance.
Iheanacho set up Jamie Vardy for the first goal in the 20th minute.
He got on the score sheet in the 41st minute to make it 2-0 after tucking home James Maddison’s perfect delivery.
The win saw Leicester maintain a second spot in the table on 38 points, and are eight points behind leaders Liverpool.
“Fantastic performance from the team. Happy to get another goal and assist. 8 wins in a row that’s it 💪🏾,”reads a tweet on Iheanacho’s Twitter handle.
The former Manchester City forward has now scored two goals and recorded two assists in two league appearances for Leicester City this season.
